I say, on the next 'Bring your kid to work' Day, you bring in the culprit kid and make them do your job for the day to make up the loss!
You get your game paid for, the kid learns some responsibility, work ethic, and welding! ...assuming you weld at work of course.

NO NO NO, revenge is in order. Next time your kid is really bored. Let him play with mommy's expensive make-up or perfume or something.... YEAH! That'll teach em both

that sounds fine i theory until you have to rebuy the expensive item - have him to play with a rock or something and if he loses it then you just walk outside and find a new one
So what happens in a suitation like this when the person used the points already and can't refund them?

They have negative points until they reconcile their account (through trading or purchasing points)

You should tell your son you love him, and your wife too. After all you can buy a new game, but you definitely cannot but a new son and wife. I believe your son is more important than some stupid game?
So like I said, I wouldn't like to be a kid that has a father getting mad at him for some stupid game.
Anyway, Just saying what I feel.

This is all true, but you need to couple that love with teaching the child to respect property.
I understand that. and I completely agree with you mafafu. But I wouldn't make a big problem over losing a game. I understand if it was perhaps, a cell phone or furniture that has been broken, beatiup up tv or smacking your keyboard. Misplacing a game disc is not vandalising any property. We all misplace things and we all lose things. =]

Totally agree with you. I think any anger or disappointment would stem from household rules possibly being broken. The game is just an item, it can be replaced, but if the children are not allowed to play with the games unsupervised (as are the rules in my house) than the anger/disappointment stems from the disobedience/lack of parental enforcement.
Or Feely could be a total asshat, but I'm thinking its probably the former.
