Perhaps it should just be a voluntary thing. Like we just start making it common practice to contact the buyer prior to just clicking "will send" to ensure that they're happy with anything we find that we would be picky about. Wouldn't get rid of the ones causing the main problem, I'm sure, but if we start a trend, it could be quite the helpful benefit to all involved.

Plus, it'd give you a bit of "insurance"...they couldn't claim it damaged in the mail, and you'd have a better chance of getting a "+10", as they'd definitely be expecting the condition that it comes in in the mail.

Hey, how about an option for requesting factory sealed packages only?

They have Gamestop, Walmart and Best Buy for that.

Let me count the ways that this idea is stupid.

1. You would be punishing pet owners. And unless the animal takes a shit and/or a piss on the game, there should be no gripes. And even then if that did happen, they should not be trading the game on here to begin with.

2. You would be punishing smokers. I think them getting cancer down the line is punishment enough.

3. As stated previously, this is a game trading site for people who actually PLAY the games. If someone wants a non-GH game so badly, go to eBay and buy a copy.

4. If stickers on games bother you so much, buy some Goo Gone and remove them yourself. It's not hard and won't ruin your game.

5. Obviously someone should not be sending out games with water damage or mold on them. It's fucking common sense.

I opted to forgo the topic search because I wasn't really being serious - and I didn't think it would be taken seriously either. I guess I was wrong.

Pretty much hit all the nails I was worried about on the head.  Non of these concerns are worth complicating the matrix over; especially the GH one.  I have a small, shorthaired dog, and my games don't even remotely suggest that fact.

Smoking is the one that got me at least thinking about the idea though.  I personally loathe the habit, but I have a heavy gamer friend that smokes (smoked actually, quit 2 weeks ago!  Here's hoping he sticks with it!) and his stuff is fine.  However, I've seen some TERRIBLE things working in consumer based IT when it comes to smokers; cases caked in a brown nasty that I can't even begin to explain, coming from households that I would never want to accept a title from, nor visit if I could avoid it.  If I got a title that was as repulsive as some of the PCs I worked on with these extreme smokers, I'd push my luck with 'unplayable' feedback...

Thankfully though, these guys should be few and far in beween, and shouldn't necessitate a fancy new checkbox system as described.  If anything, rather than this, I'd just like to see a more accurate, and act uponable feedback system.

Do I get to go home now? I have learned a lesson today; my daddy always told me to learn at least one thing everyday.

There should also be an option for wanting/not wanting the stickers on the plastic sleeve or directly on the artwork.

The umbrella doesn't get as much credit as I would hope though.

I'm gonna give this a big hell no.

The site is for people who play games, Not collectors. I mean GH version? Stickers?...Pets and Smoking?

This.

I come to Goozex to trade for USED games. I would greatly prefer if the game is in excellent condition, but I don't expect it. When you get a 2nd hand item, a certain amount of wear and tear is expected. Now don't get me wrong, I'd be pissed if I got a game that was chewed up and barely playable, but applying blanket restrictions based on smoking habit and pet occupation is just stupid.

If you are in this to collect, you shouldn't be using Goozex. And if you do, you should expect to send away for the same game multiple times until you get a copy you deem worthy of collecting. If that's the case, then I have no pity for you.
