I received from a goozex user a small, plain type mailing envelope with a small tear in the upper left corner and what appears to be the outline of a DS game pretty much exactly lined up with that tear. They sent it with a regular stamp. It's probably safe to say that the envelope tore in one of the sorting machines and the game fell out. My question is, what feedback should I give? If I put in "did not receive" I have to wait at least 6 more days before I can enter the feedback, yet the other options, such as "I received an unplayable disc" aren't really correct.

The user appears to be a new user and truthfully I'd prefer not to give negative feedback at all, I'd rather just get my points back (with them not receiving any). They, then, having learned a lesson but without the repercussions of their first trade getting negative feedback. If there were a way to cancel the trade at this point, with them initiating the cancel, I'd be all for that. Unfortunately I don't think there is a "cancel trade" button once a game is confirmed as shipped.

If you leave negative, and they dispute, you can mutually decide to resolve the dispute with a cancellation.

I think you have to leave them a negative.

I would go with what maskim suggested. Contact the user explaining the situation also.

What about the other side of the coin? Not that you are,but what if the game came and the member reported just getting an envelope.I just had this happen, sent out over forty games, all packaged well. Now,I'm not saying accidents don't happen.Anything is possible at the post office. This user had a reported empty envelope on him, makes me wonder.Sorry off topic, just wanted to vent.I always send my  games with delivery confirmation,I guess I need insurance too .

sending a DS or GBA game in a regular envelope is not recommended or considered packed well; i have seen this issue arise many a time on these forums
