If anyone has experience: what is the lesser of evils between RB2 and GH:WT drum kits?

I prefer the GH:WT drums. They have better bounce, and they have 5 "buttons" as opposed to Rock Bands 4. I recommend getting the GH bundle, then buying Rock Band 2 as a standalone game. And a bunch of PSN credit for DLC.

I'd absolutely agree with Zach21. Rock Band 1 and 2 songs play perfectly sans the orange cymbal on the GH:WT drums and guitar controller which I find far superior in quality and feel to the RB instruments.

Thanks for the input - very tempted now to bite on the GH:WT deal. Picked up 2 cheap generic Frontman guitars from Amazon last year ($5 each from their Black Friday sales) and just Gooz'd Rock Band 2 a few days ago.
Would love to snag a drum kit and mic on the cheap and this deal has good potential for flipping if I went with RB2. GH:WT would be ideal as I don't have the game itself.

I personally hate the metal/cartoony format of GHWT and the drum set feels terrible in my hands, but that's personal opinion. RB2 drums are noise-resistant so you won't wake your neighbors, but you can't rock out hard per say.... I still like RB2 drums>GHWT, but GHWT has superior guitar for sure. For the games themselves, RB2 guitar is decent, but bass is a joke, drums are awesome and singing is great since the library is large. GHWT guitar+bass are rockin, but drums are a joke at times, mic is decent
If you are judging the drum set because of # of notes, RB2 drums have an expandable cymbals set and supposedly sell for more on ebay/amazon in comparison to GHWT =p
The cymbals don't add more notes. They only move the yellow and blue notes up to a higher position. Also they aren't very noisey at all.

Ooohhhh. 95 dollars for GHWT for PS2. This is so tempting. I could also get some money back because I have the game and guitar already, so I could sell those off. I'll have to think about this.
They don't have Guitar Hero WT for 360 :( I might get the RB2 one though.
