That is what the guys in that clip were discovering ... yeah, I watched that movie while my wife and kids took a weekend trip back to Massachusetts ...

i cant even imagine spending $250 for a protable game system. just going to pick up a regular psp when it reaches 100 bucks.

It is what I call 'value proposition'. If you play the system enough, the '$ per hour' drops significantly. For me, while it is somewhat silly that I own 3 PSP's and am planning on getting the PSP Go, I look at it this way - I have played on the system for hours *every week* since March of 2005 - and now my kids have the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 and play on them fairly often.
Same for the DS - I have a DS Phat (younger son has it now), DS Lite (shared between both kids and wife), and DSi. I really enjoy the DS for the games, and play it more than the PSP even.
A console, on the other hand ... I couldn't justify a $99 PS2!
Not for me, my fav PSP games are old anyway, haven't found a new PSP game I've enjoyed in 12months+
PSP go has a smaller screen, lower resolution, does not support UMD, and is more expensive. Also the promised new games for it are dumbed down, casual iphone garbage. No thanks
I realize my post could be read as 'here is why I think the PSP Go is a decent purchase'.
Let me make this clear: there is NO justification based on value for the PSP Go, and I hope it absolutely TANKS!
I'm buying one personally ... but I'm an idiot!

Acceptance is the first step to recovery.

When I bought a 4MB HP200LX I didn't need to replace the 2MB HP200LX nearly 20 years ago I realized I was an idiot ... when do I get the second step ... ;)
(and yes, I still have it now!)

The 2nd step involves some nonsense about apologizing to those you have wronged, so screw that. Just go ahead and call yourself "reformed" and be done with it.

I think that is pretty much as fair a statement as someone could make. Can't argue the logic, really.
I still haven't changed my mind about the PSP but I do miss mine on occassion. That was the third one I bought, and my wife put a limit on three. I think that is also pretty fair. I need to stop trading stuff in all the time.
Sidenote: I thought that Packard Bell was bought out by someone and they became HP? Or am I totally off-base on that one?
I have brought to light a monstrous abnormality, but I did it for the sake of knowledge. Now for the sake of all life and Nature you must help me thrust it back into the dark again.H.P. Lovecraft"The Case of Charles Dexter Ward"
it doesnt interest me the least bit

Completely wrong ...
Packard Bell was an early radio maker and also apparently involved with early computer stuff, but was essentially dormant in terms of consumer exposure from ~1960's until the late 80's when the name was bought again and used as a label for cheap and crappy PC's.
Hewlett Packard was formed by two guys (William Hewlett & David Packard) in California around the end of the Depression making oscillators and other electronics, eventually getting into other stuff. Very much innovators in calculators and (as shown) handheld PDA / computers. Started making their own minicomputers, then largely bought their way into consumer PC's ... aside from the ultra-cool Omnibooks (predecessors to today's netbooks)

Please don't take this the wrong way txa ... but when you buy this product, your wife should seriously consider ending her marriage and taking the children away so you can never see them again.
I mean no offense by this.
Thanks for that, txa.
I had a packard bell PC. It sucked. But the suckage was a gateway for me to learn how to fix computers, so it evened out for me. :)
