That is the spirit!
You don't lose much by listing them disc only. You can still ship the case if you want.
If you think tt's always possible to find replacement cases, but it's very difficult to find manuals.

cheeznrice: Kenny007: lol I both read them and view them sitting pretty on my shelf, thank you very much. Ditto. If you're so inconvenienced by actually having the manual keep it in the damn case and you won't lose it.

You are both in the minority of manual readers. Only losers read instructions. But seriously I really think more people would rather have the case, than the manual. I know i would rather see my games sitting neat, tudy, and uniform, than to see a random disk and manual ugin' up my game area.
I'd rather have the manual than the case. Way easier to replace the case.
The only reason we have D+M is because of older PC games with large cases that would be expensive and inconvenient to ship. It has nothing to do with regular console game DVD cases, and if it were up to me I would remove it for console games altogether. That way there would only be 'I just want the game' (disc only) and 'I want thge whole package'.
I don't care so much about the manual as long as it has the case. I very rarely read the manuals anyway :)
On the flipside, I always ask for full package to make sure I get the case and not a game in a CD case...

Lots of people threw away the bulky GBA boxes and kept the manuals for the games. And that is deffinately a case where most people would rather have the manual than the box.
And PS1 and DC games are often listed or requested that way if the original case broke. Some one would just slip the manual and disc into a new cd case and list it as D+M since they dont have the back insert any more.
And for newer games with proprietary cases (memory card slots in PS2 cases, green xbox cases, white wii cases, etc...) if the case got damaged and was replaced with a genaric black case, you should be listing it as D+M, since you don't have the original case any more.
I know quite a few people that throw away game cases for console games and put them in cd binder books with the manuals put in something else. So yes, there are people that have D+M console games. Point is, there's no reason to sit around and say "well, since I do this, we shouldn't have D+M" or "since I do this, we should only have D+M". It would just be easier to have the 4th option. End of debate.
Canadians would prefer a disc, instructions and cover option. So you'd have the whole thing once you put it in your own case...but it would cut our postage cost in half by being under 100 gm. Everyone would have their own cases if they started sending out like that

So true.

If we don't keep talking about it then the change will never come.
Hello Im new to the site and i must say that is a good suggestion. I already voted on it and I was thinking what happens whe i have an Item to trade "Full Package" but one of the extras in the package is missing eg. Lunar 2 (PSOne) I have everything except a pendant that is supposed to be in the Collector's Box. Now can I still trade this FULL PACKAGE?
I apologize in advanced if this question/situation shouldn't be here but I'm really curious

Sorry to deliver more disappointing news to you but you can't list it as full package. Disk and Manual all the way. Frankly though i recommend you ebay it.
I don't see this applying to some PC games. Before some PC game makers started the trend of plastic DVD style cases, games would come in a jewel case or even paper sleeves with now cover art. So if you make a hierarchy of case vs. manual, there are going to be some games that would not have the option of having a case, disc, and manual.
I think disc + case should just fall into the disc only category. But hey, that's just my opinion.
