Older sci-fi fans might remember the original V miniseries and weekly TV. There were rumors for years that they were trying to do another one, and now finally ABC is bringing it back as a summer series:

This is actually on their fall schedule. It stars Elizabeth Mitchell or Juliet to Lost fans.

A shame that in the convening 20 years just about all of these idea's have been copied and redone so much that they are stale and invoke an extreme case of deja vu.

Hey Now its got that guy from the 4400 in it. Unfortunately this show looks nothing like the 4400 which was completely original and fun. This definitely looks like it was made for tv-it seems to have that Lifetime tv for women feel mixed with star trek the next generation. I know that sounds weird but thats the vibe Im getting from the preview. Hmmmm Now you know why it looked like they killed off Juliet from the last episode of Lost

Ugh.  Where in the world is originality these days.  At least, this re-imaging looks and feels different enough.  I was a big, big fan of the movie and the series back in the day....so I'm willing to give it a shot.  I don't mind that "Juliet" is in it, but why does "Bailey" have to be in it. 

I like the religious take that they are taking in it, but I hope that they don't short us on the violence and action.

She is no longer a series regular on Lost, but is still expected to be a large part of season 6, as both shows are on ABC.

V came around too late for me to get into it, too much real life stuff.  Think I saw some of the pilot 'event' and was pretty nonplussed.  And back then it wasn't like things went into immediate syndication so you could catch up on an entire season in a night just by flipping between the 12 cable channels syndicating the George Lopez show or whatever ...
