ok so i have been a goozex member for about 3 months i havent really traded at all i have sold two games but havent bought any and now i am matched with a guy to buy NHL 09 now no real problem yet but here is the catch the guy joined yesterday and has no feeback at all now i know we need to welcome new members and i was in the same position as the seller when i first joined and all went well but how come on my first buy i get a guy that joined yesterday i just want to know what everyone thinks
Just wait it out. You are given protections as the "buyer"/receiver of the game, so you can wait in confidence that you'll receive your game or that you will receive your points in totality. Just wait it out.

You're screwed. If something goes wrong Goozex will not help you in any way and there are no safegaurds against anything. Any scenario you can think of like buyers not leaving feedback, claiming they have not recieved the game, game lost by the post office, sellers claiming to have sent the game when they have not. The people at Goozex just don't have the manpower to come up with a solution to combat those kinds of people because they are professional scammers. You think you're fine but the next thing you know your game collection disappears and you have a total of 0 points. I suggested that Goozex stop accepting new members. My logic is that anyone that's a reputable trader is already a member of Goozex and that everyone else is a scumbag. I have not recieved a response to my email about my suggestion.
I enjoy being snarky. ^______^
Thing to remember - EVERYONE was new at one time. EVERYONE had to make their first trades at some point. And while anyone on the forum might think that 90% of new users are scammers, dirtbags and shiftless misanthropes out to somehow destroy humanity ... that just isn't true. Most new users, like most users in general, take their trades seriously.
Sure there are new users who don't accept, don't send games, don't know what 'full package means', don't give feedback, and so on ... but they are a minority.
Because of my professional standing, I would love to mine Goozex's trade data and see if I could come up with a predictive model of the likelihood of a 'failed trade' based on system type, game type and so on. I am willing to venture a guess based solely on what we see in the forums that there would be some strong predictive elements.

Absolutely. I find myself in the odd position of quoting Dane Cook for the first time in my life...
"He was being very snarky with me. Yeah, snarky. Its a word, google it."

LOL @ definition: (Urban Dictionary)
A word that should be googled to find the definition as per direction from Dane Cook. It means short tempered or irritable.
Interesting....
Anyways, time to annoy someone else :):
Lurknomore, for some reason, when I glance at your picture, I see the playboy logo. Very odd...and distracting as I'm trying to scroll down the page :P
bkchm89:It means short tempered or irritable.
That is not at all my understanding. I deal with loads of Europeans through work and other forums, and in their context it is overly critical but in a sarcastic sort of way.
The first game I traded off was Madden 2009 about a month and a half after it was released....he probably felt buyer's remorse like I did and wanted to get his monies back...

I had a boss call me snarky once and she was referring to txa's definition of the word. I think there are some underlying issues if you are trusting Dane Cook and urbandictionary.

That was the first site listed + I liked the definition- a word that should be googled to find out it's meaning :)

It's kind of a combination of witty sarcasm, with a dash of whinging and hyper-criticism.
On behalf of the Northern American gay community, I would formally like to request that Dane Cook stops stealing and abusing the words we have rightfully stolen from the British. I didn't know it was not common language... it's been used for decades if not longer around here.
You are not funny, Cook. Nothing you do will ever make you so... unless it's entirely unintentional.
