Unfortunately, when a user forgets (or is unable) to check email for a period of time and misses a match, the receiving person has their time completely wasted.  Sure, it sucks when you get moved to the back of the queue... but it sucks more for people who are waiting through false matches.

In this case, I have to side with keeping the timeout length as short as reasonably possible.  (Of course, that's just one opinion.)

maybe we should open goozex up to elephants, they never forget

Seconded - they also make good sandwiches.

Sounds good, as long as they have games to trade and don't leave peanut shells in the case.

Oh, and the sandwhich looks nasty (in a good way).

...I can't believe the ESRB allowed that game in the US with its terrible depiction of elephants in the game.

No. I'm sick of games timing out on me, and extending the amount of time you have would only make the problem worse.

It is your responsibility to check your email or goozex at least ever 26 hours to check for matches
