mafafu:You wouldn't be happy about it, but it is assanine to ask for assurances from the gas station owner to change the prices back
You mean you've never organized one of these on the ole Sheetz?
mafafu: kevlar51:But these guys shouldn't be asked to shush just because it's still the best game in town. If I can buy gas at 3 places for $2.00 a gallon and another place at $1.50 a gallon, and then one day that 4th station starts charging $1.65 a gallon, sure, it's still by far the best deal and I'm still going to go there, but it doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. To stretch your metaphor: You wouldn't be happy about it, but it is assanine to ask for assurances from the gas station owner to change the prices back. And I have stated, save all the vitriol until after it happens. Until it actually happens, until we see how the new cap increase works in realtime, all of these threats accomplish is post count padding.

You're contradicting yourself, mafafu. You say it'd be asinine to argue against it once the change takes place, but then you say we shouldn't argue against it until it actually does.

Oh great, so now we're trading gas instead of games?

Threats? Who is threatening? Let's not forget that the ORIGINAL post on this thread states that "The GTeam looks forward to constructive comments and feedback!" I for one am striving to provide this feedback by intelligently reading the previous posts & condensing the overwhelming message into one easily understandable package for blackcoyote who seems to be taking the weekend off (who can blame him?)!
I like post padding too.
As a side note, in the middle TN area, Sams Club has the best price on gas that I've come across with $2.02 a gallon where everywhere else is around $2.19. I was ECSTATIC!!!! (I like this bold/caps thing )

No, I plan on telling everyone to shut their piehole after the changes take place as well.
EDIT: Please note that I am not discouraging discussion (both pro & con) of this issue. I am discouraging the silly threats and ultimatums.

What a lot of people seem to be forgetting is that Goozex points DO NOT convert to dollars. The fact that you can buy points is irrelevant, as it defeats the purpose. The 100 points=$5 is NOT a valid argument here. Neither are GameStop's prices.
If you want to go that route though, GameStop would give you about $30 for L4D correct? So which new release game can you buy at GameStop for that? YOU CAN'T! Where as, if you sell it on goozex for 1000 points, you can get ANY OTHER GAME! Sounds like a much better deal than GameStop to me. I think this particular argument is ridiculous, because on Goozex the seller is getting FULL VALUE for the game by selling it directly to the buyer and not going through a middle man. That is why GameStop gives the seller less, because they make money off of it too.
Goozex points are a currency that CANNOT be translated to dollars. Please try to understand that the 100 points = $5 is a ridicuouls attempt to convert it, as that is how Goozex makes money.
But if someone is going to argue based on that value, then why pay the equivalent of $60 for a used game? Sounds pretty dumb to me. You guys are missing the whole point of why this site was so great. It saved us gamers money. Now it looks like it's going to cost us money in the long run.
I'm getting tired of having to post the same thing over and over, so if someone can actually understand what I'm saying, please reiterate this to anyone that brings up the 100 points=$5 thing again.

Dude, those of us who translate it to dollars is because of it's value. It would be messed up to see Daxter for PSP at 1000 and inFamous at 100.
MY TACO IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!!

That is an illogical argument. Just because Goozex charges you $5 for 100 points, doesn't mean thats what they're worth. It could be more, it could be less. Goozex charges $5 because it is a convenient figure. It wouldn't make much sense to charge $8.73 or some other random number. If you were to take the values of different used games and compare them to what they sell for on Goozex, the actual dollar value per 100 points would differ immensely depending on what game it is.
Now, a little more on the GameStop argument. If Goozex wants to base their prices on GameStop's, then why are so many games on here priced less, via the $5=100 points ridiculous value. Take Bomberman on the psp for example. It's priced at 100 points on Goozex, whereas it's 12.99 used at gamestop. This would be like me saying that Skate 2 should be 300 points because I've already bought 2 copies at $15. It's ridiculous.
I agree with the cap boost. 1200 points for a game bundle, rare, or collectors edition would be great! However, for normal retail additions priced at $60 on launch 1000 points is the way to go. Furthermore; all games should be priced according to used retail value. I've seen some $10 games going for 500 and 600 points on here, and $20 titles trading for 200 and 300pts. I'm not complaining just giving an example. :)
Personally; when a used game is priced at $55.00 I do NOT buy it. Why? Because if I add $5 more and purchase a new copy I will support the developers that put their blood, sweat, and tears into the game. Thus, helping developers to create more GREAT games! Great games = Happy Gamers.
Back on track.
I like the cap increase for bundles, collectors edition, and rares.
Please don't try to use the increase on $60 retail titles. No matter what the used game franchises say any new game loses a $10.00 value once you open the shrink wrap. For many reasons; the warranty is void for anyone but the original purchaser, the game may become scratched, cases are damaged etc. It's almost like buying a new car. The second you drive it off the lot is loses $3,000 to $4,000 in value.
Done rambling now. :)
Will this new point cap cause inflation of all goozex prices? If so... I'm going to have to cut someone.

Do you have a list?
