Too busy for my tastes.
As I noted on page 1, I still don't see Advanced Search on the front page. Seems I have to search for something random first in order to get to the original format to find the button. Still, pretty neat overall though.

Does anyone else have missing game covers in the "Hot games this week" section? For me it only shows the outline of the cover, leaving a white part in the middle where the cover should be. I'm using the latest version of Firefox if that matters.
Otherwise, I think the layout is pretty good. I agree with others that having the search bar anywhere other than the top left is a bad idea, and much of the content on the new page is of little value for current members, but it definitely looks nicer and should help grow the community.
i get the missing game covers too but it says what games they are if I drag over them
my work machine does not seem to like the new layout at all
Coras: Ok I found the option, but when I click on the Gooz monster in the upper left hand corner(my normal way of returning to the main page) it still takes me to the new layout, even though when I just go to goozex.com it takes me to the classic.

Maybe i'm in the minority with Coras on this one, but I tend to click the Gooz-monster in the upper left to flip between the forums and the home page. Even though I have my view set to the 'classic' home page, it brings me to the brand new, blinged out new home page. The only workaround I use is reselecting Goozex from my web browser favorites to take me back to 'classic' home page. Kinda wondering if this was intentional and/or something that can be corrected?
As far as the new home page - for the most part I do enjoy it and the sleeker look. The widget that shows totals of active/on hold/in progress offers and requests is pure gold. I sorely miss the the box for friends' recent status/trades/playing now - which may be the only reason i'm going back to the classic interface.

Preferences for this do not seem to work at all. I usually go to the platform-specific page for PC as my home page. I was able to get to it only by changing my bookmark to:

Using the preferences in My Account does not seem to affect what I get at http://www.goozex.com at all.

I'm not understanding this complaint, and several people have said this.
It is WAY less cluttered than the old page. Less text, less clickable links, by definition it is less cluttered. Sure, I can see the complaints about just not enjoying the layout... but the nicest thing about it is that its decidedly less cluttered than the old page.

It looks really user friendly but I'm sticking with the good ol' classic view...

The more I look at the "new look" the more I keep wanting to stick with Classic view. There's a lot going on with Classic but it's all easy to understand and very intuitive. The "new look" seems like there's lots of pretty pictures but no actual info. The only thing I REALLY like with the new look is the "total requests/offers" display. Is there a way to work that into the Classic view somewhere? Or even on the My Account page?

I can see the amount of hard work that was put into it, and I most certainly appreciate it, but I don't care for it myself.
I mostly used the front page for the costantly changing game section (I've found a few games that I've gotten that I'd never heard of before because of this) and the player reviews. I know, I know, most of the player reviews are kind of useless on the surface but I care what my fellow goozex'er has to say.
I agree that it is too busy, but Decrypded, it isn't because of amount(s) of text, it's proportionality. Many of the graphics and the text(s) within the graphics are proportionally the same size and they're set up without any "white space" so it doesn't really direct the eye in any one single direction.
But I also agree that the trade stats on the front page is nice.

While I like the new look, since every page behind it reverts back to the classic style, I too may go back to the classic view, for continuity's sake if anything else. I love the tally for requests and offers though.

classic is where it's at; though my work machine wants to bring me to the new page
I like the new layout, but it seems like some features are missing. They could possibly be there, I just don't see them
