A few weeks ago, I requested a PS1 game and received it from a seller. Unfortunately, the game didn't play at all. I tried cleaning it and playing it in different systems, but nothing worked. I sent negative feedback of "unplayable disc" and the seller accepted the feedback.

Now, i still have the unplayable disc. A few days ago, I've sent a PM to the seller asking if he wants the game back, but he still hasn't responded.

Am I obligated to send the unplayable disc back to the seller after leaving negative feedback, even if the seller didn't ask for it back?

I've checked the FAQs and forums and I haven't found an answer for this situation. I don't feel right about keeping it, but I don't want to waste postage and send it back if they don't want it or didn't ask for it back.

Here's what we highly recommend you do.  Hang onto the disc until the trade is 100% closed out.

If the seller disputes the claim we always ask for the buyer to ship us the game for inspection.  If the buyer can't send us the game, we will reverse the negative feedback b/c it was not proven to us that the disc was unplayable.

We reimburse the buyer the cost of shipping us the game with the appropriate amount of trade credits.

If the seller doesn't dispute and the trade closes out, wait until you get refunded for the trade before doing anything with the disc.

The trade was already closed a few days ago and I have already received my refund.

I was just wondering what to do with the game after the dispute had closed and the seller didn't ask for it back.
