So I sent a goozex member MK vs DC for the 360 in like NEW condition next day and he received it, he said it was really fast shipping and the disc is in perfect condition, but he "claims" the case has "some scratches" on it. First of all, there are NO scratches on it, 2nd - its a CASE, what does this user expect? A brand new still factory sealed game? what the heck is going on here? the game still looks brand spanking new. And because of this, he gives me +5 instead of +10. Now I feel very hesitant to trade with people on goozex, this is my first bad experience, but still - what gives? I've already sent an email to goozex about this bogus feedback and hopefully they will decide in my favor because this is ridiculous. Anybody else have a bad experience like this, where he compliments everything you did on sending a mint condition game but claims there are "some scratches" on the case and gives you +5 instead of a well earned +10?!

Don't count on Goozex changing the feedback in your favor. The +5 vs. +10 is a point of contention among some people here due to the fact that it is highly subjective. As long as the feedback was positive, I'm almost certain the G-Team won't change it - unless its blatant feedback abuse, which in this case its not.

Understandably you're irritated, and most users on here wouldn't have gone the +5 route, but its well within the buyers right to judge the "quality" (as specified in the feedback) as not being up to his standards.

Again, don't expect this from all users - as long as the game and accessories are in moderately good shape, you should almost always receive the full +10, and hopefully this doesn't sour your opinion of the service.

To reiterate what's already been said:

Positive is positive is positive.  +10 or +5, it doesn't matter in the least.  It all boils down to positive, neutral, or negative.  Point values for them are meaningless.

If you really disagree you can dispute the feedback and you took the first step by emailing goozex... make sure you emailed feedack@goozex.com though...

It is possible the case was damaged during shipping but that isn't your fault at all...

Stay on Goozex 'cause even though you had a bad experience it is really rare and doesn't happen often

I know +5 sounds little but it is still Positive Feedback so all in all that is what you should be looking at... you also got your points for being a value seller so your doing a great job and I hope you still have faith in the Goozex community and your presence here is greatly appreciative...Big Smile

Don't worry about it.  You will have enough points soon enough and the number won't matter. Honestly I don't even look at what people rate me anymore. As long as it is positive I don't care.

You really shouldnt worry about trivial things like that because no matter what there is always going to be that one person who doesnt see the positive in anything. I received a game from someone and it was just barely scratched but played perfect and I playd it and then sent it off and got a complaint that there were a few scratches n the disc. Its obviously been through a few hands here and when he sends it off to someone they probably wont complain to him about it because it really wasnt that bad unless he makes it worse before they get it. After a few trades feedback score becomes pretty much irrelovant anyways unless you're a trader who has ripped off many people and if thats the case the user usually becomes banned anyways. In the end a feedback score of 200 isnt much different than a feedback score of 195 and if there is a real problem you could alert the Goozex team and they are pretty fair when it comes to helping solve issues for the most part..Smile

There is no abuse at all... he had his standards and the package didn't live up to them so it was his opinion to feedback at +5... it would be abuse if he left negative or even neutral in some cases...

I'm going to say that this time around he wasn't abusing the system but I can't say that for everyone of his trades though 'cause I'm too lazy to go search his history but still I would disagree with you there

I know how you feel. I have gotten +5 twice when I definitely deserved +10. While it feels like you aren't getting what you deserve, it is still positive and that is what counts.

I don't understand you're anger because you still get full points and a positive feedback.

Keep trading on Goozex. This may annoy you, but in the long run, it has no effect.

It does matter, though. People may set their standards to only want 'like new' games, and that is fine, but that is not what this site is about at all. It is quite alarming that I can't find any information about the overall condition of a package, versus the playability of the game. Some may nitpick over the game, others nitpick over their reputation, and these few are able to tarnish that, and over what, a scratch or a sticker on a used game?

I feel that since we are trading used games, there should be a fair amount of give. I understand that different people have different takes on what constitutes 'used' but with the amount of +5 threads, there clearly needs to be something written, unless I have just missed it.

Clearly the game in question was in perfect condition, the case, however, had some scratches. How does that affect the replayability of this game? I hear you 'collector' types too......the 'mint' condition guys buying sight unseen over a trading forum...riiiighhhhttt.

I am not saying that if a guy sends a game over with a perfect disk, and a case that has been chewed on by the dogs is ok, but a few scratches? Seriously? Really? Shouldn't these esteemed video game collectors be shopping elsewhere? Not implying that these folks are not welcome here, just that if you are that picky about a game case, maybe used mail order isn't the right path for these folks? Is that unfair?

And before the nitpickers start picking, yes, I understand the rule is subjective, and up to the user, but the problem is there is no system in place for that. I could send out a case I felt was mint, and the receiver clearly does not. I could also send out a case that has been through the dogs, and the receiver not care...as long as the game works fine. Maybe these pickers could pay for an upper-level service that hosts pictures of the game in question? That would solve the sticker problem, even the scratch problem. Maybe another level, make mints games 1100 points, see how many folks truly care? Yes, I know it's only a few folks, but how are we to know we are going to trade with these folks vs. a guy just happy to get a new, perfectly working game?

The thing is though, there really isn't much of a difference between +5 and +10, its just a number. You are getting a positive feedback and that is what matters. I have had the +5 happen to me on two separate occasions and I didn't even get a comment and I know everything was in good shape but I kept on trading and have saved loads of money because of it. A +5 may irritate you, but its not worth making a fuss over because its not going to get changed to +10.

Kinda like the scratch on a case, or a sticker on a case doesn't make much difference, I mean they still get a game, and that's what counts. The system is wide open for the buyer to have lofty aspirations for a game, and no means to communicate that to the seller beforehand. Sure, I could leave a guy a message telling him the game itself is fine, but the case has scratches, and he opts out, but I lose a trade, and potentially a spot.

See what I did there? This works both ways, except not on this site. Don't get me wrong, I have yet to get a +5, but am I supposed to not trade a few of my games because they have a scratch on the case? Is this not a used game site? There is no precedent for marking someone's trade rep down because you expected a perfect game, this isn't Gamestop where they may have 4 copies you can pick and choose from. If you request a game from me, the minute I accept the trade I go and print a label, and it goes in the mailbox that day, to leave then, or the next day. What else can a person do?

I am not asking for anyone to get changed from a +5 to a +10, just looking for the site admin to make a call, add a bit of text to clarify, it's way open-ended as it is. I could currently mark a negative for a scratch on a case. Sure, it may get overturned, but in the meantime it causes unneeded moderation, harms the seller and proves even further that the buyer is shopping at the wrong store.

It's not very subjective, it's completely subjective.  It's there for the buyer to be able to state they weren't 100% happy and blown away by the trade, without tarnishing the seller in the least.

You fulfilled your obligation, you sent a good working game in full package.  Your reputation also improved, with a positive and another 5 points.

If you were to take away the subjective option of a +5, then you're left with buyers having no option but neutral and negative, with long disputes, if they aren't happy with their trade.  Not a good deal since most of those situations are avoided with the ability to vent a little bit by leaving a +5.

It is probably best to think of a +10 as a bonus, or priveledge, not a right.  By sending a working game with all the contents you're required, one is guaranteed a +5 and full points received for the game,  If the buyer gives you a +10, all the better.

Just to note, I would have fully given +10 for the package you described.  I might have even found it tip worthy, with the description of how fast it was shipped and the condition.  I didn't get it though, so that statement may be worthless, much like the differences between a +5 and a +10.
