OK this is the 1st time I got a weird message from the tracking. I never had this happened to me before. I'm confused on what to do. This was shipped out 1st class if that makes any difference.
We attempted to deliver your item at 1:56 PM on April 10, 2009 in RICHMOND, VA 23234 and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice, go to www.usps.com/redelivery, or call 800-ASK-USPS to arrange for redelivery. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Hopefully this can help...

Also I'm the shipper in this case, not the receiver....
The reciever wasn't home at the time to recieve the item so he/she will have to go to that local post office and pick it up. If it is not claimed within the time period, the item will be returned to Goozex and you will still keep your points (that's if you put goozex as the "from" address).
I would contact the buyer and give them a heads up even though they should already know this via the notice that was left.
Dealt with the same issue on the sender end of things as well.
The forum link eaglethorn posted will help, especially if the situation gets a little more ridiculous with USPS. As the seller, the best thing to do is to politely e-mail the buyer and give them a heads up to what the USPS tracking website indicates and they should be able to work out the rest themself.
What kills me on this issue is that there may be no notice left for the buyer at all, despite what it shows on the website.

Well he had the same problem you did and the answer was found there so I referenced it to help others...
Good job at making a thread that is worth referencing
