This is a question for the staff. How is Goozex doing in this tough economy?

I am asking this question because I do not want to wake up one day and find out that all my points are not even worth a cent.

Gaming is one of the few industries that seems to be holding steady in the current economy.

And for any of those gamers who are looking to cut back, Goozex might be an attractive option.

I'm sure Goozex is doing O.K.

Well I can see more people using the website since it leads to not having to buy games yourself in the end.

If a person has a steady job and they're getting paid the same as before this whole crisis then they aren't in a recession so not everyone is cutting back which means people are still buying games and sharing them through Goozex.

Wise words from Glen Beck...

You FAIL.  Posting anything from Fox News is an INSTANT FAIL.  To say people "aren't in a recession" just because they're still employed is a bit absurd.  The constant looming threat of unemployment is enough to tighten anyone's wallet, employed or not.

The down economy is exactly the reason I'm here.  I would think a service like this would be booming when things are tough.  With a small child and one income, I really can't afford to drop $60 on things I need, let alone video games.

Showing your bias is INSTANT FAIL.  I love watching Glenn Beck because he doesnt talk with a condescending attitude, nor does he act like he is above everyone else. He speaks to the people and gives his opinions on matters.

And I think you are completely taking it out of context by saying that statement is absurd. Nowhere does he say that everyone who is still employed isn't in a recession. He is just stating that not everyone is feeling the recession, which is a fact. I buy games still, and I'm currently in the midst of trying to purchase a home, so no, the recession isn't really affecting me.

Leave your anti-Fox News bias at home, and stop trying to put down others by calling what they post an instant fail, as you are the only one who is truly failing by trying to belittle him.

Hopefully you get as good of a deal as we did.  Although I must say, when we bought our house at the end of last year, the recession did impact our decesion.  Plus we basically got to name our price. Big Smile

G-Nitro my respect for you has just shot to the roof... Thank you for somewhat agreeing with me

If you like Glen Beck check out Dave Ramsey another great show on Fox News/Business

Just closed on a house at the end of February myself...saved just shy of 100k on it.  Needs a bit of work, but should definitely qualify as the "Flip of the Day"!

"If a person has a steady job and they're getting paid the same as before this whole crisis then they aren't in a recession"

So I paraphrased, but isn't that essentially what he's saying?  He didn't say that people weren't "feeling the recession" which I would agree with, her said they "aren't in a recession."  Absurd.  As far as my "bias", I find it ironic that someone championing Fox News would criticize my bias.  I think nearly everyone would agree that Fox News is FAR from Fair and Balanced as they claim.  I may have been a bit harsh in my previous post, and I apologize for that.  The recession has hit my area and my family and friends pretty hard, and I'm a bit sensitive to anyone denying the terrible situation this country is in.  Try telling someone from Detroit they're not in a recession.

Bad news,  your points are already not worth a cent.  You can't trade points for cash, once you own the points, that's the end of that.   Flipping games for cash on your own time is distinct from points having any true monetary value.

Question.  Does Microsoft allow people to trade in their XBL points for cash?  (I cancelled my XBL account years ago on XBOx1)

Incorrect.  In fact as a home buyer you are feeling it 2 ways.  On the 1 hand prices are low, so you are actually benefitting from the recession.   On the other hand loans are much harder to qualify for now, even for those with good credit because of how the banks are trying to balance asset sheets.

But as Fox News trumpeted for months leading up to the implosion "Economic problems are mostly psychological" - John McAin + everyone else on his campaign or involved in damage control prior to the bailouts.

In fact there was a string of shows on Fox News all showing the same ditto headed opinions that week when McAin made those laughable statements, all agreeing that it was "mostly psychological".  So much for "facts" or "fair and balanced".  It's just an opinion network.   They haven't done actual news in many years.  You can't get good ratings with real news, so no one bothers doing it anymore.
