Kenny007:

JoeCamNet:

If I buy a used car, I can expect some dings and scratches, but I wouldnt buy one that had a price tag painted on the hood.

Nor I, as it means they're probably not going to move on the price much...

That's the big difference between the comparisons.       In the real world you're able to see the item and negotiate a price (or even decline entirely) based on its condition.     Here that isn't the case and everyone's definition of what's acceptable is entirely different.       You're pretty much entitled to send out things in any condition you please as long as it's playable, and people can leave you any feedback they please.    I don't think there's anything to prevent you from considering the bubble mailer as part of the "overall package".    Not like it's going to effect anything, because the feedback system has almost no impact.

So sure - go ahead and leave a +5 for this game.     And users can continue to send out games like this as much as they please.     It really just doesn't matter, and there isn't anything you can do about it.

yet another guy who never even read the first post completely.

Guilty as charged. I read the most recent page, as usual. I'm lazy like that.

First, I have to give props to Kameleon because that post was hilarious.

Also, I don't get why you guys are making a big deal about JoeCamNEt. He never said he would leave negative or anything. He said, he would request a cancellation if he was informed their was a sticker, or leave a +5. That's totally in his right. Would you be happy if an extra that came with a collector's edition was all messed up. No, and that's kind of what I compare it to. He has a different sense of what needs to look like what.

Finally, you know what would make this thread? Mario FanaticXV coming here, and telling JoeCamNet that he is out of his right to leave a +5... HAha

I have mentioned a few times in this thread that they come off easy

Exactly, so people need to stop nit-picking things. It's a little sticker, take it off if you don't like it. Then move on in life.

He isn't angry about gamestop stickers in general, he's angry about gamestop putting stickings INSIDE THE PLASTIC COVERING, ON THE ARTWORK.

I have no problem with stickers on the plastic either(since I can take them off...which is usually the first thing I do). But when they perminently ruin the cover by putting it under the plastic and on the PAPER artwork(which, anyone with a brain should know, usually comes off with any adhesive that was placed on it) I get pissed.

You obviously don't like to read all the posts either. I've stated many times that the gamestop sticker on THE ARTWORK doesn't usually ruin it. I have removed the sticker on the spine of the ART WORK every time with no tears and no residue. I also stated that this job was the sellers and not the buyers.

i HATE the sticker marks it's worse when the people try and take them off and everything it looks like complete crap. it screws everything up about the case and artwork, pretty stupid they do it.

they should just use a display case with the price than the real cases with gets set up behind the display case.

My bottom line is that people should either inform you ahead of time if a sticker is on the artwork or they should list it as disc & manual.  That's being a courteous seller.  Communication is key, peoples.
Also, I feel comparing a price sticker plastered on the artwork of a game and a price sticker painted on the hood of a car is a PERFECT comparison.  Both are absolute eyesores, yet with a lot of work you can fix both issues, but in the end, being informed about it ahead of time would save a lot of trouble and aggravation.

And Khameleon is freakin awesome.

I was really hoping you would send me that game. Sad

Then you're much better at removing stickers than I am =(

Use a blow dryer on the sticker for a couple of minutes.  It melts the sticky part of the sticker and then the sticker easily peels off.  My wife does this for all the games I buy to flip from Blockbuster or Gamestop.  It works great.

Which game?
I've deleted a few matches recently because of how low the points dropped.  If you were one of the matches, my bad. I didn't take notice before I deleted.
It's funny when you offer a game at 800 and a few months pass and you get matched at like 350.  Not worth it to me anymore.

I figured as much. We were matched for Viking for 360 which has dropped to around 300 pts I think.

An extra option to this thread...I have a good connection with the GameStop employees. One of them appreciates having games in good condition, but knows their stuff will sell, no matter what. On occasion, when I've needed an instruction manual for something I bought there used, another GameStop has found the manual and let me have it.

Recently, I had a box that was not that hot looking, found it mint in another GameStop. Didn't even have to tell them I had bought it there or anything, they let me bring in the less-than-perfect one and trade, straight up, no consequences.

That would solve most severe sticker issues. :) They even let me use one of the blank boxes from behind the counter and pull the art from the used box on the shelf with the stickers all over it!

Yeah, my apologies.  I just didn't think it was worth letting go for so cheap, especially since I got it new on here for 1000.  500 I might've traded.  300, I'll keep.   I didn't even notice it was you, sorry!

You don't need more Achievement Points anyways...
