kapkorn:

If you are that picky you should probably not buy used games and only buy new.

It's a matter of opinion, really. Games are $60 or less, cars are in the tens of thousands of dollars, and houses are in the hundreds of thousands. How much are you paying for something before you expect someoe to clean it before they sell it to you?

Ya know, I love how it's mostly people with low post counts or just overall new users who tell me to stop buying used or stop shopping at GameStop.

I'm guessing most of these people don't even read a full page of this thread either because I've repeated myself a good 4 dozen times.

I personally will NEVER buy a game that has a sticker on the artwork.  I pass up tons of great games because of that.  Will I pay $60 for Electroplankton? Sure!  Will I pay $60 for Electroplankton with a sticker on the artwork? HELL NO.
I'm not the one buying games in the condition. I'm the one getting them sent to me on Goozex.
All I ask is that I get a headsup before the seller sends it out so that can request a cancel because I don't want games in a condition I do not find acceptable.

Then again, the more people who say "I'll never trade with OP" the better, because chances are THEY'RE the people that would send a game like that in the first place.

If you hate the stickers that much you could just buy a new copy.... You can't expect used games to be in perfect condition. That is like saying "I will never buy a used car if it had any dings or dents". Gamestop is a huge retailer and a large percentage of the used games have at one point or another been traded through gamestop, much like a huge percentage of the used cars have minor cosmetic flaws.

When did I say I expect games in PERFECT condition?  I can deal with some scuffs, stickers on the case.  Stickers on the artwork is not acceptable in my eyes and should not be listed as a full package.

I know what to expect from GameStop.  I shop at my local store and I also shop at any GameStop that does not put stickers on their artwork.
If I buy a used car, I can expect some dings and scratches, but I wouldnt buy one that had a price tag painted on the hood.  So why should I have a game with a bright, yellow $14.99 sticker that sticks out like a sore thumb on the spine?

Nor I, as it means they're probably not going to move on the price much...

If it is so easy and cheap to get a new case then shouldnt the seller be the one getting the new case rather than forcing the buyer to have to shell out money for something that shouldnt have arrived in that condition to begin with?

No because the seller had no problem with them being on the case when he had them why should it be up to him to make the case prettier for the next guy to get it?

While I'm certainly not of the 'Bent out of shape over stickers' camp, when I send a game, I do my best to pretty it up, and removing all the stickers, if any, is one logical step in my process.  No complaints thus far.

I don't send games out with stickers on them. I just don't care for your attitude.

,Joe has every right to be upset about reciving games with gamestop stickers and handing out +5's because of it. I have mentioned a few times in this thread that they come off easy, which is true. However it is the sellers responsability to do it not the buyers. I have shipped out a few games that did have stickers on the spine of the artwork when I bought them, but I took that sticker off along with the other 2 that were on the case because it was my responsability to do so.,, Post

SWEET!  A fan!
Then again, you're on record as sending out two games that don't work at all and one game that was supposed to be a full package was disc only.  It's a good thing for me that I don't ever have to get a game from you.

(Typical User That Seems to Be Responding to This Thread)

I didn't read the whole thread, but I think that you are stupid to expect people to send you games in perfect condition. It's just a stupid sticker, it comes off just by looking at it. You also should stop buying at Gamestop if you hate stickers so much, how stupid are you to keep going back? If you want it to be so perfect, you probably should just go buy it new, oh wait, those also have stickers on them, but don't worry it's just on the shrink wrap, but I guess you wouldn't know how to take that off either. I'm going to make sure to never trade with you because I like to wipe my @$% with my manuals and use the discs to lay some brand new gravel so I can use my care to run over the cases on top of the brand new gravel; I don't want you to ruin my streak of three +10 ratings.

I strongly disagree with that comment. If the seller has it on the case and it doesn't bother them, then they have no obligation to remove it. If the buyer recieves it and it does bother them, then they can take it off. I take off all the stickers on my games, but I have gotten games with them on there and it's no bother to take them off.

Exactly, so people need to stop nit-picking things. It's a little sticker, take it off if you don't like it. Then move on in life.

Although I don't agree with JoeCamNet, I do respect his side of view.

yet another guy who never even read the first post completely.

He isn't angry about gamestop stickers in general, he's angry about gamestop putting stickings INSIDE THE PLASTIC COVERING, ON THE ARTWORK.

I have no problem with stickers on the plastic either(since I can take them off...which is usually the first thing I do). But when they perminently ruin the cover by putting it under the plastic and on the PAPER artwork(which, anyone with a brain should know, usually comes off with any adhesive that was placed on it) I get pissed.
