I have to slightly disagree with you about the +5 and +10

I think that you should contact the seller first and ask. If they don't answer or they lie, only then you should start taking away points. Otherwise they are going to assume its fine

Well, I just got a nice Used GameStop game.  I was used to the sticker on the top right, which is outside the plastic (this is a PSP game).  What I wasn't expecting was the second sticker on the back, and especially the one on the inside spine.  Yuk.  After all the trouble the guy went through packing it nicely and using D/C I'm giving full positive, as it is GameStop's fault not his.  But since I planned to give it to my son to have, I want it looking clean and will have to go through the whole clean-up thing.  Annoying

I feel that this topic is absolutely ludicrous.  What is Goozex for? Trading VIDEO GAMES.  This is not a website for collecting and admiring box art.  You get video games to PLAY THE GAME.  The box art is something to draw you in and get you to look into the game and possibly purchase it.

I don't see what all the fuss is over having a sticker on the outside packaging or even on a corner of the box art.  The focus of a video game is the content played on your device which is not impaired by a sticker.

The only rules for trades are whether the product will be shipped disc only, disc and manual, or full package.  Full package does not entitle someone to "full completely mint condition packaging without stickers so you can sit and stare at the box art instead of playing the game".  I feel it's completely wrong to give only +5 instead of +10 with feedback.  If the game you received was complete with game and/or manual as it was listed, leave your comment about the stupid sticker on the seller's feedback so that others can read it.  It's not the seller's fault that you have some ridiculously high standard for the current condition of the external packaging.

I agree that it's not something to get that worked up over, but i also disagree about it being wrong to give a +5. The +5 states that the package is okay, but not what was expected. Depending on the buyer's standards, stickers might be a huge deal to them. I know I get annoyed when I recieve a game covered in stickers. However I tend to cut the seller some slack in those instances. I leave them a +10, but I mention the stickers/residue in the feedback I leave in the hopes that they learn from it and understand that some users might dock them points for recieving a game in that condition.

I also think that a +5 should be the maximum "penalty" for a game case with sticker crud on it.

Yeah, it's still a positive and you get your full points, just not full feedback. it's there way fo saying: you sent me what expected, but I didn't like it.

If your complaing about the sticker being on the cover, just use windex and rub it off....geeze in the ghetto we learn these things.  I wasn't aware goozez offered mint condtion games either, the whole "Trade and recieve used games" is very deceiving.  The point is, most of the time you are not going to recieve the brand new packaged sealed. game, your using a service for used games, and thats exactly what you get. however many fancy pictires are ruined in the process.  If it bother you that much then maybe buy new?

I'm not going to read the full 13 pages, so I apologize if anyone has said this.  But putting the stickers on the inside of the case is absolutely not common practice.  It's a terrible idea in every regard, and it happens only when a random employee or manager decide that's the way their individual store wishes to operate.  At any other store where people have common sense, it annoys them too to find games like that in a shipment.

I personally don't mind getting the game with the stickers on them.  It's the other user who is going to get the game after me that I am worried about, so I end up having to re-list it as disc + manual to avoid any positive feedback difference.  That ultimately puts me lower in line since I have less of a chance of trading with someone since I am not offering the full package which kind of stinks because it really is the full package.  It's just left up to individual user interpretation.

*sigh*  Things were going so well too.

Just got Otogi in today with a bright yellow USED $7.99 sticker on the frickin spine.
Not happy at all.  I really do want to burn down every GameStop that pulls this crap.

Just be happy that your Gamestop copies work. 

I ordered Capcom Vs SNK 2 EO from them on 4/21.  Get a defective copy, thinking "great now I'll have to send it out to them".  I was actually surprised to see that they were going to send me another copy, no questions asked.  

A week or so later the replacement comes.  This one actually works..for 5 minutes at a time.  I had to send both copies to them for inspection, and 3 weeks later they send me giftcards refunding shipping and the actual price of the game.

I have to wait another week or two for the item to be back in stock, and I place my order again.  Here's to hoping it works.  

I've learned my lesson and won't be dealing with Gamestop again.  Do they even check the discs or just clean them and hope for the best?
