Already been released if you speak Japanese. That was in September. I think it sold close to as many in day 1 there as the Xbox version did in it's lifetime so there's a strong chance (and some rumors) it'll come to North America but not a certainty yet.
You guys have me interested, but I'll hold off with this still being 600 points and the possibility that the PS3 version is coming with added content. Getting the ball rolling with Mass Effect instead.

Yes it is that good. I am debating on whether I am going to pick it back up for the 360 when it drops more to keep it and play through it again or if I am going to wait for the PS3 version to be released.

Most of the articles I've seen make it seem that this is less than likely to happen...

I still have my LE copy of it and I doubt I'll be trading that after it took a while to find it. I really hope this actually does get released for the PS3 in NA. The additional content alone makes this a day 1 purchase for me

I wonder how much content they actually added. Its sad when an awesome JRPG like this gets mostly ignored in the North American market but gets eaten up in Japan. We need to better support title like these so that they continue to release them in North America.
The pirate girl looks too young from the one video of the PS3 version I was looking at. We already have one young character we dont need another. It should be mandatory for any JRPG girls to be between the ages of 18-25.

This happens a lot with JRPG's. The re-release with added content gets eaten up in Japan, but rarely gets localized here. The Tales studio working on the the ps3 version is notorious for not translating their games.

Chris Hansen would approve of this
It's possible I'm being overly optimistic. It just seems to makes sense though - it did sell well for Japan, but the numbers are still pretty modest. If it was worth porting to the PS3 and adding additional content for the sales they got there, I can't see how it wouldn't make sense to translate some stuff to English for the sales here. How much can that cost them to do? Maybe it wasn't worth it Japan and they were expecting more and lost some money.

It's also quite possible I'm being overly pessimistic
Add the 360 on to your On Hold queue (if you have room) and just remove it if it doesn't come out for the ps3.
Vesperia was definitely the best J-RPG to grace the XBox 360, and as much of a Asiaphile that I am, Mass Effect is a better RPG and even Dragon Age has been better than it.

Yeah, that's what I did.

Good to hear, that's the order I'm planning to play them in. Have Dragon Age in hand and can't play Mass Effect until Xmas.
On sale at Amazon for 14.98. And the backlog grows...
Tales is easily the best of the three for me with Dragon Age coming in at a close second. I didnt care for Mass Effect that much.

It's by no means a confirmation, but they did have the english voice actors go back and record new dialogue, according to rumors, so that's got to be a good sign. What purpose would there be to record new scenes if it's never coming our way?

Well, now that I took advantage of the $15 pricetag for the Xbox version, I probably won't pick up the PS3 version even if it does get released - unless it happens to get released before I manage to get to it. With the number of RPG's in my backlog, I'm doubtful that it's going to live up to the hype here enough to make me want to play it twice.

if you're a JRPG/Tales fan; you'll really enjoy it; one of the best RPG experiences of "Next-Gen" (which by this time is really current Gen)
