I have games "on hold" in my offers list that I would like a second copy of, but because they are in my offers list (although on hold) I am unable to add that game to my request list.  The reason I would like to do this is because we have two xbox360's in the house and my wife and I occasionally want a copy for each system.

I realize I could remove the games from my offers list, but then I also lose some very valuable positions in the queue when the time comes that I would like to trade the game.  I could also create a second account but from my understanding that is against the rules and would be a headache to maintain anyway.

I searched this forum for the last four months and there did not appear to be a topic that covered this, so I apologize if this has already been beat to death.

Sorry, but you are only allowed one combined offer/request per game. Otherwise people would just corner the market on certain titles.

I can understand that it would be bad if they allowed multiple offers of the same game, or multiple requests of the same game.  But I don't understand how a single offer and a single request of the same title could corner the market.

The only way to do this is to remove the game from your lirbrary and request it.  If that is not suitable I guess you could go out and buy it as I don't see anyway around it.

I also don't think they'll make a change to their algorithm to allow you to have a game in your requests and offers.

Your explanation implies that you want 2 copies (for the wife and yourself), so why would need one offer and one request? You are going to have to remove the one in your offer (or hold) list before you can ask for another one. That is just the way the system works. Otherwise people could request a game, give instant feedback, request another, and so on and so on, tying up the request list for those who have zero copies of a game.

The problem is simple:  If you could do this I would be able to put a game in both queues and thereby short-circuit the spirit of the Goozex process.  While I understand what you are trying to do, it does create issues as you are holding a place in line that you don't necessarily plan to fill with a game you currently own.

In the scenario I'm describing, I only own one copy of the game and I would like to get another copy of it for the other system in the house.  I would like to do this without losing my spot in the offers queue because some day I will want to trade the game away.  I don't see how it ties up the request list when they're still only limited to one request.

OK so you're saying this measure is in place to basically keep people from offering games they don't actually own yet.

Hmmm...
