Gah!  Scanning some metacritic I found out that David Hayter was the original screenwriter that adapted the comic to screenplay... I didn't know that!

Snake?  Snake!  SNAAAAAAAAKE!

(of course in Mafafu's world that there's a blue snake)

I also agree about the ending, I thought it was a bit of a stumble in the comic, I think they handled it well, I would however, would like to have seen them on the run from the cops at the end like in the comic, there really wasn't any reason to change that.

Fantastic performance by Jackie Earle Haley though, everything from his posture to the noises he made while eating was bang on. Really impressive.

A little off topic but not much.  Did it drive anyone crazy having the man do all of the women voices in the motion comic?  At first I thought that maybe the one woman was a man pretending to be a women and then I realized that no it is just the same guy doing all of the voices.

Not as annoyed as finding out it was coming out for BluRay, for about $30, with one voice actor and minimal animation nice pricing guys

This was an amazing piece of art.  How well they were able to keep with the story as it was in the comic was just fantastic.  You could take alomst any screenshot from the movie and it would have looked as if it was cut strait from the book.  Aside from the few changes in the outcome, it was almost completely dead on,  right down to rorchack gettin arrested to Dr. Manhatten's time bouncing on Mars.  I will say this though,  to enjoy this movie, you have to ask yourself one very important question,  How do you feel about blue full frontal male nudity??  You better be alright with it.

I do know I'm going to have to go see it again just to soak up every detail of the movie because it was just so, for lack of a better word, Grand.

Note, that nudity in itself does ot bother me, male or female. This just seemed to scream "See how faithful we were! We even kept the blue penis! Now let us show it consistently for the last 20 minutes!"

I would have loved to have seen this as a series of films (trilogy perhaps) instead of one, so that it could have been recreated exactly. And yes, the ending was not bad, but I missed the squid.

Saw it at midnight and I have to say, it was WELL worth getting home at 3:30 in the morning.

How AWESOME was that opening sequence, though?

Agreed, but getting out of the house and doing activites together is a must.  Otherwise my leash might be tighter then Kevlar51's.

At the time of writing this I JUST GOT back from seeing it with 3/female friends. AND yeah they liked the sex and as the said "boner" parts of it and I seemed to be the only that actually enjoyed all hte song choices specially Hallelujah...i was laughing...alot...i go shushed....>_<.
However, too many flash backs if you asked me what happened id say a blue man became god and the coolest guy died in the begininin9ini...

BTW, not a chick flick..srsly...blue..penis..i was twitching from like the 9th time they showed it...

owl sex scene=flaminglly awesome.

yeah its late at ..morniningh/ so please excuse this if it doesnt make sense i just had to share my opinionz with teh internet.

Did you see it? The scene is supposed to be a fairly serious, important analysis of impotency (and the rescue scene is pretty much foreplay, a huge character builder for Nite Owl). With that playing it the background... the scene became comic relief, and everyone laughed.

I understand movies need comic relief, but then the scene became soft-core pornish and lasted quite a while (when in the book the nudity in the sex scene was one frame). Watchmen is a pretty serious, heavy book, and if you're adding things like this in - people just don't take it as seirously

Yea, maybe you should do that and notice it's "Rorschach" and "Dr. Manhattan" lol.

And come on, people are seriously upset that there was a "blue penis"? What, was he magically supposed to lose it after the accident because it would make people "more comfortable"? Sorry but if you can't handle that you're not mature enough to be seeing a movie like this,
