I have a game worth 1000 points, if I offer that now and get 1000 points can I save them for a few months without them going down in value? Do points you have ever go down in value if the game you traded does, if you already have the points?

Your 1000 points will always be worth 1000 points.

Yeah, only if the game goes down in value before you trade it then you won't have 1000 points. Besides that, it'll always be 1000 points.
