I never addressed the "I already know the answer" comment....what were your thoughts?

Mind if I take a crack at this one?

Goozex has to make money.  Two ways that they do that:  advertising (very little money) and selling trade credits.  If they choose not to accept points as tender for trade credits (since points don't pay mortgages or buy food), that's their choice.

Personally, I think its the right one.  There is a difference between:

1.  Offering an incentive that helps drive their income (free trade credit for referrals) and builds their business because a number of those people will eventually purchase trade credits, and

2.  Just letting everybody pay for credits with points (there are quite a few very active traders here that would always trade for free in that case, costing Goozex a lot of income)

That's not to say that the Goozex system is flawless, but I don't think that this should be changed.  $1 to trade a game is not unreasonable.

I still fail to see how trading away credits for points would be a bad thing.  I mean, taking something that I paid for and getting something else will only result in me having to purchase points again, right?  Looking at it another way, since the only way to replenish credits is to purchase them, a user giving said credits back can't hurt the system.

Look, it's very simple. However for whatever reason the few of you who think this is an amazing idea choose to not understand. It's been explained in VERY SIMPLE TERMS yet you choose to remake ignorant.

The bottom line is it loses goozex money, it doesn't have ANY benefit for them, and it's irrelevant what you think because this is the truth. Sorry you choose to remain in denial and not accept it but it doesn't change anything.

I used to be a manager at one of the Game Stops, and I know how returns affect the store's overall 'score' negatively. If too many points are acquired, the store (all employees) would get write-up (one of the reason's I left the company). Like we had any control over who decided to stop and return games. anyway, I would buy from my old store and return at a different one.

I thought it was because the store would realize that you're returning excessively and would eventually begin refusing your returns.  I guess I was wrong.
