It's nice that I'm not able to contribute to conversations around here simply because I don't agree with them. It has to be my way or the highway, right?

For the record, I don't dislike the 360 avatars because they're not Miis. I dislike the 360 avatars because they look retarded. That's just my viewpoint. Why does me liking the Wii or Nintendo make me hate everything else? Let's see...cause I don't! I'd appreciate it if you'd quit shoving viewpoints out of me that aren't actually true, just because you have a certain opinion about me.

And now, back to your regularly schedule thread that has nothing to do with this nonsense.

Agreed, Mafafu and I tend to get into some pretty heated comments back and forth some times. Sorry if I come off defensive a lot, but let's be honest here: you guys love your 360 something big. And that's fine. Sometimes I don't agree with it much at all (the hardware issues being chief among me just not getting it) but what I'm constantly amazed by is why I can't just like what I like and disagree with other things. It comes off as some kind of character flaw around here that I like what is widely considered by gamers to be weak and stupid. I'm sorry, but when did talking about gaming become a playground popularity contest? Really?

I mean come on samas, you can be serious. Most of us dont deny the 360's hardware issues, In the same way we dont deny the Wii's lack of quality games, and most of us in this thread own both.

The "amount of suck" that Nintendo puts out on the Wii is what amazes most people. I must ask, have you ever, or do you currently own a 360?

I think the main thing about the 360 is that the majority of the people who own one (and don't get me wrong, I know quite a few who have moved away from it) realizes that its only weak point is the RRoD. I see a lot more non-owners complaining about the 360 than I do those who actually own one. If I look at the "PSWii60" owners (pun not intended),  I see a lot of them prefer the 360 over their other two consoles for gaming, the PS3 for AV uses, and the Wii for the wife&kids factor.

Cheez, I'm NEVER fueling for a war. Really, can't we all just get along? Seriously, I'm never trying to start arguments, it just seems like my basic views on gaming is almost universally disagreed with by most users of this board. I don't really get the whole "flame wars" notion that people seem to carry; by saying I don't like "X" about gaming doesn't mean I was trying to say "anything to do with X" sucks. This is a distinction that a lot of gamers these days fail to see.

I usually stay away from admitting what systems I have, or using disclosures like "I hate this system but I have four of them" because in my mind that just sets you up for people making gross assumptions about you (hello, Cheez!). That being said, you can't really escape it on Goozex. People see what kind of games I trade, my overall comments on the site, and you can figure it out. I don't have a 360 for a lot of reasons, but the very last one of those would never be because I was considered a "fanboy." Again, I think these kind of disclosures only weaken one's position, but Microsoft as a company more or less provides me with my living. For me to blatantly hate their gaming system just because I'm a lifelong Nintendo fan? That'd be moronic. I can't afford more gaming systems right now, and even when I could a few years ago I took a hard look at the games line-up for the 360 and found it to be lacking in my tastes. That's the key there: MY tastes. It doesn't mean it sucks, it doesn't mean it's full of crap, it means I don't like it. That's all.

Mr. Elite, do you really believe Nintendo puts out suck on their own system? If by that you mean they approve the publishing of some less than quality game work, I suppose that could be argued. Having not played much of it however, I can't really say. Most of the games I've played on their system have been top-notch, be it developed directly by them or a third party. That's just my experience though.

Cripes, what the hell was this topic on again? Is this considered part of the RPG? ("A farty-pants Wii fan approaches!")

Samas, you are contradicting yourself here.

But you also said "Im amazed by the amount of suck they produce", I made a similar statement about Nintendo and you commented on them basically not making all the games on there system.

Im very confused as to why you actually hate the 360, it at least offers far more variety in games than any of the systems, regardless of "your tastes".

The fact that arguments stem from your views is because of how you conduct yourself and how vehemently you will defend yourself (sometimes by spitting out large diatribes) when the slightest comment is made.

....and not expect some people poking fun at you.  What is the point of this interjection? I think the majority of people who have a 360 would agree that having avatars (while perhaps not the perfect design, but what is?) is cool.  Its better then scrolling through a friends list.  I personally check my friends list everytime I boot up the 360.  Where is this "suck" you speak of?

Also, humble apologies to my friend Maskim for this threadjacking.

I think you will also have a hard time finding people to agree with your assessment of the Wii having "top-notch" titles at all!

Again, most of the people I see in this argument also own (yet rarely play) the Wii.

This works both ways, Rare is responsible for the MS avatars, which I actually like better than Mii's, even if the idea is a blatant rip off.

I have to say, I prefer the customization of the Wiis, but I prefer the look of the Avatars.
