I mean, when I have already sent out enough games to get 1800 points and haven't gotten one of my requests it gives me the feeling that I am just giving away my games for free, which is a feeling I don't like. I suppose I could just stop using Goozex once I finally use up my 1800 points.

Like it's been said countless times, this site is about patience. Besides, I'm sure if you searched around you'd find games that you would actually like. You never know if you'll like a game until you play it, and if you don't like it you could always trade it back.
I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum right now. I got over 6000 points in the bank and about 8 games back-logged, but I'm playing so much EQ2 that I'm not playing anything else. I had to actually take all the games I was requesting for me and put them on hold until I chill out with EQ2. We just bought a laptop so my wife can play too so I doubt there will be much change in that any time soon either.
zannabianca: To all the Goozexers waiting for a hard-to-find game to become available, if you had to name your N.1 wish, what game would that be?

Not exactly "hard-to-find" but the N. 1 game I wish would trade sooner on Goozex is The Orange Box (360), and Burnout Paradise (360). Both have super long queues for how old they are.
Tales of the Abyss
I know I'll get it eventuall and it's proabably a good thing that I have to wait. I've never had an issue getting games from Goozex. In fact, I've always gotten games before I wanted to play them. So, they just sit on my shelf collecting dust as I continue to receive games that I'll eventually want to play. I still haven't touched the first game I received from Goozex

It has gotten to the point where I'm thinking direct-trading websites are better for hard to find games. Waiting forever for a few games isn't worth trading in more of my games when I know it might be months before I receive the games that I want.
I'll just direct-trade so I can get what I want, when I want it.
For me it would be the DS games for my kids. Mostly for my daughter. These are hard to get for me.
I really want Folklore. i figured it would be easy to get since its a 500 point game. Um no. I'm like 50th on the list
Gary Johnson For President 2012!
I've not received or sent out anything in months. I'm getting more activity on GameTZ than here, which is extremely sad.
I'm at the front of a line to send AND receive, but no one is trading or requesting those particular games--and, I'm actually moving backwards in line to send Madden NFL '09 for PS2, with plenty of active requests, but not one that's ready.
All told, Goozex seems more and more like a novel concept that's only beneficial if you're working with lots of games that are relatively current.
If you really want games quickly, this really isn't the site for you. If you want games that were widely popular 6 months-1 year ago, it's a great concept. For hard to find games or really new games, you'll find yourself waiting quite a long time.

Yup. Goozex is a novel concept (in the best sense of the phrase, considering it's success) that works best if you have a wide range of games you're interested in playing, and you're a game player as apposed to game collector. It's not for everyone.
I just started using GameTZ myself a couple months ago, and it's a perfect supplement to my Goozex trading, because I can go and find particular games that aren't offered on Goozex, or have a very long wait. I still prefer to use Goozex though, not only because I like the automated non-haggling system, but because every trade is gauranteed. If a trade goes bad, and you've taken basic measures to protect yourself, the G-Team refunds your points/credit. On GameTZ the only protection you seem to have is to only deal with established traders who have their reputation to maintain.
I've managed to get many of the games I wanted for my collection through here so far, like Tactics Ogre, and Ogre Battle. There's many left, but sometimes you just gotta buy them I guess.
Number one choice? Gears of War 2.
