So, I know a lot of xbox 360's get the so called "Red ring of Death" but I wanted to find out how many Goozex users's xbox's have broken due to this.  Personally my xbox has never broken down and it had only frozen mid game once.  Mind you I've only had it about 4 months.  Anyway, I'd like to hear some stories about the RROD.

A CAG poll last year (3500 respondents) found that 67% of CAG owned Xbox 360s have failed. 

I am happy to report that I have never experienced the RRoD, probably due to the fact that I don't own a 360...

So far I have had mine for 15 months and no RROD (knocks on every peace of wood he can and cannot see).  I tend to only allow it to be on for 3-4 hours before I turn it off to let it cooldown.  On average it is more like a two hour play session before I have to turn it off because of life responsibilities.

So far, after buying a console on launch day, I have had either 6 or 7 RRod's. I've lost count which is not a good thing. It is still the console I play way more then my Wii or PS3 which collect dust, but hardware that is that unreliable is almost unforgivable.

I have had my 360 for 18 months and it hasnt rrod yet.  Every once in a while when I am playing a game the sound starts to act up and I have to restart my console so if it rrod I hope it happens in the next 18 months.  My two brother in laws bought launch consoles and they both rrod about 6 months ago.

Different error - 1 red light, error E-74, happened about a month after my warranty ended.

Well, my xbox 360, which I bought used (refurbished) never messed up in the first year I had it; then a storm took out the power in the neighborhood and the xbox flashed some crazy red lights (don't remember which ones). But it STILL didn't mess up, and my 37" lcd did! The xbox turned right back on after that with no problems, and I had to get my tv fixed. Aren't these RROD problems with cooling though? I mean, I don't play on the console for more than 1 - 1 1/2 hours at a time, and I make sure it has proper ventillation. Isn't that enough to keep it happy?

No RROD for me.

I have gotten the E74. Luckily it was still in warranty.

Yuper,  one RRoD and one three ring error in under a year.......god bless microsoft, Luckily all covered under warrenty and I had my box back both times in under two weeks.

3 360 of mine went RRoD, had warranty from Gamestop, now on my 4th, still up and running, since August 2007!

My warranty for both MS and Gamestop have gone void, so if this one hits the can, I will have to pay a repair, and maybe in the process, buy me an ELITE!
