Megaman Legends
Shenmue
Marvel vs capcom
Donkey Kong Country.
OR
Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
I don't even care if it's a side-scroller, look at Wario:Shake It! If Nintendo can do that, why can't they just update DKC or have Sega update Sonic that way. 3D Sonics aren't cutting it for me, and the Bioware one isn't great, but it's not horrible either.
Who ever said that with new technology comes less and less 2-D side-scrollers?
Why, with all that data storage, think of how many different games they could put on it, they could make Sonic 4-10! (In the guise of Mega Man 9)

Beyond Good & Evil, the first one was simply amazing.
I was gonna say Battlefront, but it looks like that's happening.
'Tis being continued already. I can't belive so many people don't know!
MY TACO IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!!
WWE Day of Reckoning. I know, there's SvR 09, but I miss being able to actually hit people in Tag/Triple Threat/Fatal 4 Way's while they're trying to do their special (or pretty much any other move for that matter). That game was one of the hardest I can remember that was part of the WWE franchise.
I-Weapon-X: Not what game should be remade; but a series that you'd like to see a new game for today's systems. I personally would love to see a new Earthworm Jim title

They are making a new Earthworm JIm. Apparently it's part of some big push to relauch the franchise. They're even making a movie.

Same with Beyond Good & Evil. Sequel should be out this year or early next year. I really should finish the first one.
As for what I'd like. I'll have to second Mega Man Legends.

Definitely agree that Sonic needs to return to 2D, and I think the rest of the gaming world, with the important exception of Sega, agrees with you too.
I'm not sure how old you are though, but do you remember how many cookie-cutter 2D platformers were coming out during the 16 bit generation? Lots; and folks got sick of them.
Then when the 32/64-bit systems rolled around, and 3D gaming really took off, developers and publishers were finally able to give us a new type of vantage point. It was a nice refresh at the time, and there really seemed no reason to develop a restrictive 2D game that no one would want to play when you could go all over the place in a 3D game. I remember the first time I saw Mario 64 being demo'ed at a Funcoland, at the time it was amazing that you could run anywhere. Sure, there was only a limited amount of stuff to do, but you could go anywhere (within the boundaries created). Hell, I can remember playing NiGHTS on my Saturn, and purposefully letting time run out so that I'd turn into the kid and have the ability to run all over the map. Couldn't do anything with it, but it was cool.
Anyway, 2D games are coming back because our detox process is nearing its end, and developers are once again realizing that you CAN have good 2D platformers. The only problem I see is that they still want to throw in 3D elements to make them "new." I'm specifically thinking of Little Big Planet and it's crappy background/middleground/foreground mechanic.

Why do you say that? The wii is more recent than both the ps3 and the 360.

I think he was referring to the graphical limitations of the Wii. If he is, I agree with him (mafafu).

Well that's not how they categorize the generations of gaming. I'm pretty sure they do it by the time period in which it comes out.
Exactly
