Fisrt let me say i didnt play the first one.All i really new was that there was a gril that appears from no where and its very scary.
Controls are decent, walking seems a little putterish though to me, but its not terrible. Graphics are great, just the right amount of gore as well. Enemy A.i is really impressive so far, you have the ability to up turn objects like tables to duck behind, as do your enemies, and they do often.
The overall vieb of the game is very eerie, much like the Condemned games (play them if you havent). Now im 20 years old, but i really almost quit the demo lol. just the entire surroundings are so well designed to make you look all around you. The first level starts off in what seems to be a elementary school, lockers being flung open, papers goign everywhere, a very spooky tone.
the weapons are good, aiming is easy, ammo is easy to come by so far, as it is dropped by enemies and also scattered around the levels. same goes with health and other items. What really seperates this game from other horror/thriller games is just the overall design of the levels and the things that are going on in the back ground, (example-torched bodies on the walls and ceilings moaning and moving sluggishly)
Im not sure if i will get this game right off the bat, i still have alot more of the demo to play, but i would say its worth a rent, and also playing in total darkness deff sets the mood.
Hot reporter-"You've been called the DaVinci of our time, what do you say to that?"
Tony Stark-"Absolutley ridiculous, I don't paint."
FEAR 2 is awesome, the guys of CONDEMNED are working on it, its a good scare factor of a game.
Just watching the E3 demo made me scared.
I really enjoyed the first FEAR game (and the expansion) , so I'm going to go ahead and give this game a preemptive thumbs up. More HD, more gore, more fun.
