Hi there.  I've only been with Goozex for about 4 weeks now.  I have already successfully traded a game (with a +10) and also successfully received a game (also +10).

I have a question about my 3rd trade.  It was matched and accepted on Jan 10 and immediately said would be mailed out Jan 13.  Since then, the person has NOT confirmed shipping.  I have also sent messages to the person a few times asking if they did indeed ship the game, but no responses.

I know I can do a negative feedback and get my points back once the full 2 weeks have passed.

My question is: since the person has not even confirmed shipping, I still have the Cancel Trade button active (it goes away I think once shipping is confirmed).  Should I just use that before the time is up?  What really is the difference between Cancel Trade and saying "game not received"?  I also noticed that Cancel Trade has a time limit on it, which I think does correspond with the 2 weeks normally given.  I have less than 3 days now until two weeks are up (up on Jan 24) but I have NOT received an email yet (because shipping hasn't been confirmed?) so should I cancel trade?  Or just do game not received?

Finally, assuming I either cancel or give negative feedback and never hear back from this person, is there a way to not trade with that person again?  An ignore or block function, if you will?

1 they do not have to accept the cancel

2 you will lose your spot in line if you cancel

3 a trader is under no obligation to confirm trade or respond to PM's

Pizza guys are getting worse and worse looking. I guess all the good ones went into porn.

21 days is the limit.

If you never received the game leave a negative feedback just before the trade closes or the system will leave an automatic positive feedback.

And like I-Weapon-X said a seller is not obliged to confirm.I have been matched with 2 sellers that never confirmed and i got the games.

20* days is technically the limit for feedback to be left as on the 21st day the trade times out; you should receive emails at 14 and 18 days as reminders

You can leave negative feedback after 14 days, but if the person did ship it and they challenge the feedback, be prepared to enter the dispute resolution phase.

Follow up questions:

1. I've now seen posts saying wait 2 weeks and wait 3 weeks.  Which is it?  How many days exactly do I give the person before reporting a negative?

2. Taking the answer from #1: When is the actual starting date?  Is it after the confirm?  or after the suggested shipping date?  Basically, when does the answer from #1 actually start counting down?

3. If the person does not confirm shipping, will I still receive emails alerting me on the 14th and 18th days?

I understand that the seller is under no obligation to confirm or respond, but as more and more time goes on, and the deadline approaches, I of course will watch those trades with no confirmation more closely.

You will receive emails letting you know you have a trade outstanding before it times out,  it gives you plenty of time to leave whatever feedback you have too.  If I'm not mistaken, the time starts right when the trade is accepted by the seller,  but like i said,  you'll receive a couple of alerts before the time runs out to leave a feedback.

You can leave negative feedback as early as 14 days after the promised shipped date.  You are encouraged to wait until day 20 (from the promised ship date) before you leave a negative.

It is the suggested shipping date, one or three days after the trade is accepted depening on what the seller promised.

You should receive emails with 7 days, 3 days and 1 day remaining before the system closes the trade with a full positive feedback.

Hello.  I just stumbled on this thread tonight.  (Yay, it's my Friday!)  So I have a little confession to make...  I'm the 'other' user. 

I received email from tinsel the morning this thread was made (yesterday).  I read it today and responded, explaining that work schedule prevented my sending on time and that it was sent.  In fact, I suppose a picture is worth a thousand words, so here you go... the entirety of our exchange:

Now, I understand why the OP was concerned.  I would be too.  In fact, I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.  I have had just enough time to eat and go to bed at the end of my work day for the last two weeks, the exception being last Sunday afternoon, when I was able to load the labels into paypal shipping for printing at work on Tuesday.

Anyway, the OP will be receiving the game Friday or Saturday since it was mailed from [a little town], OR on Tuesday, making delivery before 14 days.

I apologize that I was the catalyst to the community having to explain the feedback system, but I am glad that at least some good will come of it in the way of another user learning the ins and outs of the feedback system

I usually pick "Will ship in 3 days" to provide a reasonable cushion.  I love that feature cause I need to go check my disc, confirm it is in good condition, print the label, pack etc...

I never confirm shipped until AFTER it is actually in the mail.  If I pick 3 days and ship it in 1, good for the buyer.
