MY TACO IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!!
This whole Circuit City thing is sad news. I just drove by one this past week and was wondering how it was still in business (a Best Buy was in place on the other side of the freeway).
Did anybody check out the sales? I might head out there tomorrow.

I'm surprised Circuit City lasted for as long as it did. It was always kind of "ghetto". During this sale hopefully I can pick up Guitar Hero World Tour on the cheap, that would be pretty sweet.
I wonder how much they're discounting. I heard the people who did the CompUSA sale are doing this, and they practically raised the prices 30%, and then slashed 20% off the prices.
as of right now, the sales are crap;30% off cables, 20% off dvds/cds and 10% off everything else; also a lot of merch has been marked up to MSRP

Same thing happened with COMPUSA when they went under. I had to laugh and feel bad at people buying the 15IN LCD monitors marked at $399 MSRP with 50% off... yet you could go next door to Best Buy and have all the return privileges on the same item for the price of $129... It's amazing what people will do/believe when the word sale is spread.
CircuitCity was very good at saying an item was on sale. They would advertise something as a sale when it was actually the same regular price, at least for some items. All you had to do was lift the sale tag on the shelf and directly underneath was the same price not on sale... :) A little trick I learned from a friend that used to work there.
I just came from Circuit City, the sales are sorted by three colored posters scattered around the store broken down as follows:
All PC and sound equipment was 10% off, as were games, bargain bin games excluded.
I didn't buy anything, pretty much a colossal waste of time. Maybe next week the sales will be better.
They were selling one of those retarded music games like guitar hero II or something for ps2 and xbox 360 for only 30-40$ though.

Good luck to any CC employee, hopefully they get a better job.
I've never been to a circuit city.
They sound like a city that is covered in those telephone line things
