Hexpane:

Eraserhead is one of the greatest dark romantic comedies ever made.  It's the best birth control on the planet, hearing that screeching alien baby and then the dinner scene?

Then apparently I hate all dark romantic comedies ever made.  I'll give you the birth control thought though.

I just watched The Ugly Truth with my wife and I highly recommend it. It's littered with laugh out loud moments.

Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.

That is all.

Kevlar mentioned King of Kong earlier - an easy recommendation as it's an entertaining documentary.

Watched Assault on Precinct 13, which wasn't bad.  Was hoping it wouldn't just, end, the way it did, but it was better than I'd expected.  A little funky here and there (why fire a bolt action, scoped, rifle from the hip.......and be 100% accurate?!), but it was OK.

Watched "Romancing The Stone" on Blu-ray last night.

I've always enjoyed this film and I had picked that one and the sequel for 10$ each at Best Buy a month ago.

Movie still holds even if its 25 years old. Image and features were great. Sound needs to be worked on. DTS HD 5.1 for this disc is just horrible. I think next time I'll listen to it in Dolby Surround.

Forget the name of it, but its the Dungeon Siege movie....lots of decent actors:

Ray Liotta
Jason Statham

and a TON of faces you recognize but dont know the names (at least, i didnt)..unfortunately, the movie just wasnt all that good.

Dragonslayer.  I was going through my movies seeing if I had anything to trade off, and came across it.  I don't care what you say, that movie is great! Stick out tongue

I enjoyed that one with my wife, too. The restaurant scene is hilarious.

That's the one with the "lottery" for the privilege of being eaten, right?

Haha yes, and the girl pretending to be a boy to avoid it.  It's awesomely cheesy.

Are you kidding me?  Eraserhead is one of the greatest dark romantic comedies ever made.

I absolutely agree with this ... though I used to freak my friends out laughing out loud ... Smile

I just finished watching Drag Me to Hell. It's hard to judge. It was better than I expected in some ways like having some genuinely scary moments but it also has some pretty lame moments. On the plus side, the lead actress is nice to look at. On the negative side there's lots of weird things going in her mouth (and sorry, that's not one of em)
