Saw Transformers: RotF and had some gripes about it - overall it was a good, mindless, explosion filled, nostaligic time.

Aside from a couple of gaping plot holes (not just lose plot threads which they may pick up in in the 3rd movie), the only other serious complaint against the movies is with the Autobot twins characters Skids and Mudflap.  I understand each character only has a limited time on screen to convey their personality, but their characterization was low brow humor at best and a blatant depiction of a stereotype at worst.  Let's see, they speak in ebonics, have large ears and gold teeth with the collective IQ of a pocket calculator...on top of the fact they take up a fair slice of screen time and do little to impact the plot.  I understand where their were trying to go with them...but they could have done so more subtly.

On the positive side of things, the Transformers have more dialogue and screen time for this film which helps establish their characters better than the first film.  Prime is finally depicted as a true bad@$$ mecha - something sorely missing from the first film.  We also finially get to see a proper dynamic between Megatron and Starscream that follows their old G1 counterparts.  The fights and special effects in general were spectacular.  The dialogue was funnier than expected and the film is enjoyable provided you try and analyze the movie too closely.

For fans of the franchise or anyone looking to catch a good action flick, RotF is highly recommended.

I couldn't have said it any better than Mecha.Transformers ROTF was a terrific movie imo.The Skids and Mudflap issue is actually catching a bit of negative flak for the way they were represented.Somehow I saw them more as those *** kids on Xbox Live who got their vocabulary from "gansta rap". Some of the jokes were a little raunchy but considering the ethnic community I live in i'm certain the kids in the theater have heard worse things in their household.I also noticed the cgi took a hit near the end as certain bots or other objects no longer blended into the background so well.Minor gripes considering everything else they got right.Hearing Frank Welker's voice in the theater sent a terrific chill down my spine and i'm very happy they allowed into this one after shutting him out of the first one. There were so many scenes that paid homage to the original Transformers that naming them would reveal spoilers.Great movie. To top it off, before the movie started the local radio station had a trivia where I won a Tee and an Ultra Optimus figure.Gave them both up to some kids sitting near me though, sorry Goozexians,I had thought of giving them out here, but I gave in to my guilty conscience.

I was VERY happy to hear Frank Welker landed the voice role for Soundwave, but a little discouraged when I heard they won't going to use the vocoder sound filter that gave him his distinct/robotic tone as Soundwave in the old G1 cartoon.  Kind of assumed that he would sound like Dr. Claw (also voiced by Frank Welker) from Inspector Gadget without it....

...which was pretty much exactly what he sounded like in the movie.  It was great.  Yes

Watched Transformers 2 and was disappointed. It had a lot more of the things I didn't like about the first movie, and a lot less of the things I did like. It wasn't terrible but it mostly just felt like Michael Bay at his most indulgent.

Watched that earlier today and liked it as well. I didn't think it was bust your gut funny , but it was still a pretty funny movie , and kept you wondering what was really going on all the way until the end.

I watched the Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, and it was classic Scott. If you like Man on Fire, Enemy of the State and Deja Vu, then you will like this.

Personally, I loved it. Nice to see a movie where the cops aren't dumbasses and act like realt law enforcement officers. Also nice to see a bit of realism in my heist flick, with just a little bit of suspension of disbelief.

I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 Goozex Eggs!

Not a movie (so sue me) but I finished watching Dexter season 3 last night. That season was insane! Showtime on Demand only offered the first 6 episodes, but I was so enthralled that I bought the last 5-6 on the PSN. That show is friggin awesome.

Just finished watching Twilight.

It had its moments, but it does not deserve all of the praise it gets.

thats because all the praise its getting is from the 13-17 year old girl crowd . I liked the baseball scene but the rest was real slow.

I watched Army of Darkness last night for like the 100th time. It was edited for tv but I still had to watch it. I dont know why I have to watch this movie every single time it comes on but I do. Yes

I didn't like Twilight either...but my bf did Surprise

Watched Breach last night.  That was a really good movie.  Didn't think I'd like it, cuz I'm not a fan of Ryan Phillippe, but he actually did a good job.  Guess he's growing up.
