That's mean. I'm sorry. It was just too good to pass up using the cheddar/beddar thing. Might have something to do with I'm going on my 47th hour without sleep though, and it might, might, just seem funny to me, when in reality, it's only slightly hilarious, not comedy gold.

Man I don't check up for a day and all sorts of things happen.
As a side note, several of my friends have asked me if I wanted them to sign up for Goozex and vote - to which I told them no. Several other of my friends who have signed up but have never touched their accounts (not even for the free game) have also wondered if they should vote - to which I told them no, even though they're legitimate members from months ago who just haven't used Goozex. I didn't think it would be right.

In light of all of this voting controversy I think it would be a good idea to have a different method of voting for any future contests. Last year I had a lot of the same concerns that other people have expressed for this year's contest, and going forward there should be some other form of voting rather than in the forums. I don't think brand new members should be banned from voting (after all, they could be completely legitimate), but there needs to be some kind of regulation in place. It might even be better for Goozex staff members to pick the winners rather than regular members. Destructoid.com does this for all of their contests and that works really well.
That's a pretty good idea! Some questions could ask exactaly how the service works, how many points you get for neuteral feedback and stuff like that. I also think it's hard to choose who to vote for, cause you know who want to win, but you are not sure if they can. And maybe you think someone's was excellent, but not worth first place! So maybe next time you can list your favorite to least favorite videos which count as X votes.1st can be 5 votes, 2nd can be 4 or something, and so on. Or maybe I'm just typing because I am bored. Whichever.

Cheddar, I thought I should clarify things a bit.
I in no way intended to accuse you of making fake accounts, but with my post actually lacking a tone of voice (I tried with the ;) icon, but have failed) I can see how it can be taken out of context.
With the user signing up today and voting today, I assumed a friend. Hopefully, one that will stick with the community beyond voting for this contest.

no big deal cheez. actually there was a reply that a user who will remain nameless made and quickly deleted, but thanks to goozex's nifty email notifications, i received it anyway. and it was kind of a dick comment. so to that user: for shame.
also, ninjaj, already got a script. i'm ready to shoot it once the weather gets better. maybe i'll just do it for the eff of it. making videos... so much fun.
