I think the seller should be able to put the condition their game is in such as brand new sealed, like new, good, and okay condition, while the buyer should be able to see the conditions and be able to see the condition and pick the game which they would like best! Of course people would always like the better condition games, but hey just keep your games in good condition and it will not matter. This would benefit the buyer greatly!
Adding extra variables to the Goozex matrix-matching system would significantly slow down the process.

But if you were going to do that, wouldn't it then make sense to allow for different point values? I mean, my new & sealed copy of a game is *sure* worth more than a working but quite used disc-only version?
And while we're at it, if you are looking at two disc-only versions of the same game and one looks more scratched than the other, shouldn't you be able to offer ~50 fewer points for that one?
And shouldn't they then rename the site GameTZ?

I think you've found your new calling txa1265. I expect to see this website up and running ASAP.

That is part of my plan:
- Come up with a great idea that someone else has thought of.
- ... something ...
- PROFIT!!!
*hands txa1265 some underpants*
Ewww the site looks cheap, like I would risk that.
Enter devil's advocate. The Goozex philosophy, based on feedback criteria, is "does the disc play or not?" rather than "does the box and manual look pretty?"
A sealed game is no more enjoyable to play than the same game in used condition. But there is that illogical part of us that likes shiny new pretty things. Marketing folks love us for that.
digerati:A sealed game is no more enjoyable to play than the same game in used condition.
Reasons a sealed full copy is more enjoyable than a used disc-only copy of a game:
- You can such on the shrink wrap until you turn Sonic-blue.
- You can wear the case as a cool hat, pretend you are Snoopy flying the sopwith camel and take out the red baron.
- The manual pages will satisfy those snacky urges during extended gaming sessions.
The site is okay.
I'm still rooting for a auction section for the site. You know... placing a popular game up for bids for a week and who ever has the biggest E-moniez wins.

Many are also of sufficient length for bathroom reading. Unless you have, er, problems. Then you might like a nice Dungeon's & Dragons guide.
I've left this site before because of things like this. Why exactly can't we do direct user trades? I mean, there's even a user search function, which teases to no end. Otherwise, why the hell would I even need a user search function? So I can look at someone's "Offers" and "Requests", if they make it public?
I'd also like to know how it slows the process down. If anything, it speeds it up.
EX: I request a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV. I see that 200 people have it, so why couldn't I contact someone and then they'd have the 26 hours or whatever to accept?
Then, if they accept, I've done the system's work for it in choosing a user to be matched with and it satisfies the direct user trade.
The users can also be listed by Last Login, Feedback, Distance From Me, things like that. It would also help seperate the scammer accounts because they'd have no feedback and probably haven't logged in for a long time.
If the user requested won't accept for any reason, such as timeout, denial, etc., then I can pick another user to request from.
The rest of the system would do as it would normally, but I've just taken out a significant step out of the algorithm, thus speeding the rest of it up because it has less to do. It can do the remaining tasks faster. As it's pre-written code, it would need some altering, but it's feasible.
I've actually un-registered from Goozex for this reason, and other reasons. I blew my stack at someone on the G-Team and vented some frustrations with the site, such as point innacuracies and this issue in particular, and I'm sure there were other things that were bugging me. I was convinced to come back, and I did with no regrets, but this I think should happen. There's no reason for it not to, otherwise people will keep filtering into GameTZ and TradeGamesNow.com, where I'm registered and do far more trading than I do here.
