Thanks I really appreciate this because I recently signed up and on Monday I have to ship 3 games already. This really helped me decide on where to go to buy my things, luckily the 99 cent store near my house sells the envelopes really cheap and all I'd have to do is put em' in there and put the stamps on em' and well ship em'.

Just to add one piece of advice to this epic thread:

One of the nice things about delivery confirmation is that it actually gives you more than just confirmation of delivery; you can track the progress of the package as it moves through the system. It's not perfect -- sometimes a package will go for a few days without a status update -- but for many of my packages I get four or five status updates along the way to delivery.

If you're saying "But KickahaOta, that crap never works for me -- I never see anything for my packages but 'Electronic shipping information received' and 'Delivered'", then you may want to take a second look at how you're labelling your packages. If your printer isn't producing nice clear lines (maybe because you're feeding your inkjet printer with paper meant for laser printers), then you're going to have problems.

And here's a potential problem that you may not have thought about:  if you're one of the people who covers the whole shipping label with tape before sending the package out, then you're almost certainly going to get more infrequent status updates. Tape over the barcode makes it quite a bit harder for readers to scan the barcode. At the point of delivery, the postman will scan the package multiple times if necessary to get the barcode to scan. But at the intermediate points in the shipping process, the barcodes are usually being scanned automatically as the package moves through a sorting machine at high speed, and the machine is not going to stop and try again if the barcode doesn't scan the first time.

So just tape around the edges of the label, and add additional tape across the address area if you want more protection; but leave the barcodes uncovered.

would anyone recommend this for a cheap scale, it weighs up to 2000 grams or around 4 pounds

Anyone having trouble printing their shipping label with paypal shipping? It's telling me it's temporarily unavailable. Just wondering if it's just me, I'm a little worried because I've committed to ship the product tomorrow.

As long as it is domestic shipping I'm pretty sure you should be fine.

Actually, if the package is more than 13 oz you must leave it at the Post Office's front desk. This is to make sure it's not something that could potentially be harmful. You can blame the terrorists for that (and the Unabomber, though he was also essentially a terrorist).

Maybe I just read their sign wrong (they have one pretty much everywhere in the Post Office). Well, nice to know for the future.

Last time I tried to use it, a few months ago, I had the same problem. I wonder if it's because I've never used my PayPal account to receive payments, only purchase.

Okay, I want to make sure I did this right:

I bought a shipping label right from Goozex and taped it to my bubble mailer.  Then I dropped the mailer off in a mailbox.

Is everything good to go?

Does anyone know if you can change what name it displays on the shipping label?  I wanted to change it to my Goozex user name instead of my full name that Paypal is registered under.
