never ship to canada if youre in USA.shipping cost alot....

ummmm, no. just don't use paypal shipping. going to the post office and asking for first class international will get you rates similar to domestic mail

Ya, shipping to Canada from the USA is only around $2.  As devyanks90 said, the cost is basically the same as shipping within the USA. I guess it's more if you use paypal shipping although I've never used it.

Paypal shipping to canada is forced up to Priority international which costs $16.15 for an 8 ounce (~225g) game

The scanners have to try to determine what the full address is -- if your handwriting isn't impeccable, then a human has to look at it. OTOH if the full zip code is already there, then it doesn't matter how illegilbe the address is, it will still get to within a mile of it before anyone has to look more closely.

It's faster, no matter how you slice it.

If you need a scale for postage you could order a postage scale:

I'm ordering mine right now, its only ten bucks(+shipping) but hey you can put it on your keychain.

I just started my Goozex account and have already shipped 2 games.  I followed the procedures for printing through paypal and buying the bubble mailers on my own...

However, I've averaged $5.80 on shipping the two items so far.  It hardly seems worth the 250 points that will be credited to my account once the transactions occur.  I selected "parcel" with 2-9 day shipping and it still was pretty costly...

How are people reporting only spending $2-3 shipping each game..??

You need to ship by 1st class. I average around $2.20 for each game sent.

OK, just a quick question... or two.

I ordered a scale off ebay, wont arrive for a few more days, but I wanna ship out now. So if I get a game in my offers list and someone requests it, can I use paypal shipping, and say I know its around 6 ounces, can I just say its 9 and it will work?

And if im doing USPS Paypal, I can just drop it in the blue boxes outside the post office?

For games in DVD cases, I always put 6 oz. and I have never had a problem. For games in single CD jewelcase I always put 5 oz. I only go back to the scale when I have a double jewelcase or something else out of the ordinary.

It will work - they will accept your overpayment Smile

Yup, you can drop it in any USPS collection box (like those blue ones outside the PO).  Some people leave them in their personal mailbox even for the mailman to pick up - but I stick them in the collection boxes myself.

It would probably be pretty safe to put 7 ounces. I don't think I've ever had a game go over that.

Well, I ship some PC games, and the one I shipped straight from the post office this morning weighed in at 8.6 ounces! so ill just play it safe and say 9 until my scale comes in.

Thanks guys,

Send flat rate, it's NEVER more than 2.30, INCLUDING delivery confirmation.

A relative of mine said that he tried using Paypal shipping...apparently it was underweighed and didn't end up giving the right amount of postage. I thought it was an error on his end, but he insists it's Paypal's problem.

Has anybody else had that sort of problem, where Paypal screwed up on the postage? Do the benefits make it a moot point? The post office was charging around 3 dollars each, for two games (one full package DS game and one GBA cartridge) and that sounds pretty excessive compared to what you guys are saying you're getting for shipping (especially for console games!) ...I'd love to avoid paying that much in the future.

With a small investment, at walmart or any cook supply store, you can afford your own scale.

The advantages of PayPal shipping are as follows:

  1. At home pickup, just drop it in the mailbox.
  2. practically free delivery confirmation

I've never had a problem with PayPal shipping.  I don't use it for international shipping though.

We have an electronic scale around here, it's lost, but it's here. In the meantime, I'll be using a kitchen scale. When I measure it, I'll just have to round up to the nearest whole number and hope for the best. :P

Yeah, it seems like the more favorable option, and I haven't heard much in complaints from anybody else...I'll check out the script too, thank you very much! :)
