Can anybody explain what " FULL" package really means? The description states... Cd, case & manual. I always thought full package meant.... CD, ..."BOX"... and manual (this is the way I've listed my games) ?? Is the case just any jewel, jewel with box art, or the box the game CDs comes in? I'm a little confused about which is correct, any enlightenment will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sandbucky
Full Package generally means "whatever the game originally came with when it was brand new". For example, Wii Play listed as Full Package should include the game, original case, manual and extra Wii-mote. Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne should include the game, original case, manual and soundtrack. Games like Halo 3, GTA IV, etc... that didn't come with any extras should include the game, original case and manual.
These are the general guidelines you should follow when listing a game as Full Package. Like just about everything, there is some leeway. If you list a game as Full Package and you aren't sure if you have everything, PM the user you've been matched with and ask them if they mind getting the game without the art book/whatever it came with. Sometimes they won't mind, and sometimes they will. If they don't want the non-totally-full version you might be offering, they'll most likely be willing to accept a trade cancellation which would save you from Neutral feedback, and save them the hassle of not getting what they want.
As an example, I listed my copy of the Collector's Edition of Bioshock as Full Package, however my Big Daddy figure (like most of them) was broken when I got the game. Before even accepting the trade I told the user that I had everything (game, case, extra DVD) except the Big Daddy figure, which was busted. He said he really just wanted the figure. So, we let the trade timeout and I put my game on hold to give the other user a chance to find the version they were looking for. Realistically speaking I should've listed the game as Disk + Manual to avoid that scenario entirely. However I was still somewhat of a virgin user. Besides, I decided to keep Bioshock, and I super-glued my Big Daddy back together. It was the right choice.
Anyhow, my advice is, if you know it's missing something like an art book, bobblehead or whatever, don't list it as Full Package. List it as Disk + Manual. It'll save you and other potential users a lot of trouble.

Why does the name John Holmes come to mind?

Thats funny I thought of myself not someone else.
I always request Full Package, and I've always gotten: game disc, dvd/bluray case (with the outer art, of course), and instruction book insert.
This is what I consider the "full package" for a standard* game. I would be very surprised if someone put the game into an original cardboard game box and mailed me that. I'd end up throwing that way, anyway.
*Obviously this excludes games that come with an accessory (like a mic for Karaoke Revolution or an EyeToy or Wii Wheel, etc.)

I thought of you too...
I knew someone would say something along those lines....Giggidy
what about gears of war 2 where I've already used the download code for the old maps? is that a disc and manual only, or do I handle it as proposed above listing it full and asking the seller if it was ok?
I think that's full if its the disc case and manual.
it's also the same with rock band 2 and the 20 extra songs.
i hope goozex will clarify this in the future if this becomes a trend and more companies start giving exclusive first owner DLC to soften the resale market.
i think there should be a 4th option to choose.. "full package (without bonus items)" .. and Bonus items being anything besides the original case, manual, and game.. :| (such as the sound tracks, and the Big Daddy that guy mentioned lol)

Codes for DLC aren't required for a full package. If you have the game disc, manual, and box that's enough for a full package.
