Why is everyone so impatient?
You need to be patient with Goozex, if you must have the game you're waiting for, thats what brick and mortar retail is for.

I think it's funny that some of these users were not here when the waiting time was 52 hours. Man, that was like torture.

I laughed so hard when I read that
i know it may come as a shock to many of you, but some people don't actually check their email every two hours throughout the day. when things aren't going terrible at my job like they have been lately it isn't uncommon for me to work back to back double shifts (or the odd 72 hour work week) which has caused me to time out on a trade more then once-usually leaving me stuck with a game i have been trying to unload for months. its also made me be several days late getting a traded game into the mail. paying down my mortgage and saving real money kind of takes a priority over swapping games on here as i expect it does for most people.

Well said. I know what it's like to work long hours and many days in a row. In fact. I'm shipping some games out 2 days later than I'd like (tomorrow) because of that exact reason. I still try do my best to be on time and be a great trader.
Thanks G-team for making the allowances that you do.

I agree with this. I actually think the entire Goozex website should be shut down on all major American holidays.
And since our trading regions are open in Canada and Puerto Rico as well, I think offers should be disabled on those holidays, too.
While we're at it, a number of Goozex users are students, and many students come from other countries and study internationally, so we should take those holidays into account as well.
Actually, most people only have Internet at work, so they won't be able to check their e-mail on weekends. We should disable offers on the weekends as well. Besides, that's when people play games; not trade them.
Come to think of it, Friday is practically part of the weekend, so we should disable trades on that day too. And since we're giving people a three-day weekend to party, they'll probably be exhausted on Monday, so we should disable them too.
Oh wait... I totally forgot that people sleep. We should disable trades from 10pm PST to 8am PST. That should cover everybody.
Or you could just set vacation mode when you're going to be away for a few days.
Yeah, real life definitely takes precedent over goozex.
You have to keep in mind, the person sending the game has some stake in this, too. They've probably had to wait a while on the queue, plus they want the points out of it. If it times out, it times out. You'll still get the game, just maybe a day later than you would have otherwise (sometimes faster, depending on shipping).
However, I'm wondering why the time out is 26 hours and not 24...

I'm assuming it's to cover those that don't check their email accounts at the same time every day.
I've missed a couple of trade notifications because my wife has activated one of her games and I wasn't aware of it. A day or two later we got matched, so if you do wait you will get matched eventually.

Maybe Goozex should create an "auto accept" feature. When you list a game as available, there could be an option to auto-accept any match request you get for that game.
That way if someone gets matched for their game and they don't get on their computer within that time frame, the system will automatically accept the trade. That way the sender doesn't get punished for not getting on their computer in that time frame.
Not a bad idea, but what happens when that person doesn't check their email and doesn't ship the game at the promised date?
Ha Ha Ha for all of you non checking email people, I got mached with like 10 games over the holiday and have received most of them. Find the time check your email and the games will come. Lol
Remember if you dont have time, it only takes a second to check out your que on goozex. Forget everything else.
I have the Vista widget. When anyone uses the computer they can tell right away if there is a match.

Well the "date" is just an estimate, if there is a slight delay in shipping out the game, as long as the sender actually takes a minute to inform the other person there should not be a problem.
If all else fails, the sender gets negative feedback and they can't really complain because they knew what marking a game as "auto accept" would imply. This way someone can't come on here and complain because the pending offer time is too short, because they "have a life" and can't check the site all the time.
At least this way the system automatically accepts the trade so the sender doesn't miss out on sending the game. The system allows them to get it delivered to the buyer within a couple of weeks. That gives the person plenty of time to check the site to see if there are any new trades. If they can't check it with that long, they should have put on vacation mode.

LOL!
Thought you were being serious for a second.
