Hi, brand new user to the whole "game trading online" thing. I'm just wonder a few things.

Firstly, can I just stuff the case of a game into an envelope with two first class stamps on it (as long as the envelope holds it), and then toss it into my mailbox? Or do I have to ship it UPS or something?

Second, if I have a game such as a Rock Band Track Pack for 360, that includes a disc and a code to download the songs on the disc, can I sell just the code and keep the disc? Or do I HAVE to sell the disc?

Thanks in advance.

1) You can ship it off like that, but you run into the chance of it being damages, worn, and ripped. You may have insufficent postage. Plus, shipping through the Post Office or Paypal allows you to purchase delivery confirmation, which will help you from being ripped off by another user lying about receiving it.

2) Nope, the game is the thing being traded here, not the codes. Only exceptions are downloadable games such as XBLA or gifting on the Wii.

Not recommended.  My personal recommendation is to sign up for paypal if you haven't already and use their multi-order shipping under the "merchant services" tab.  Ship first class with delivery confirmation.  2nd best would be to ship first class + delivery confirmation through the Post Office.

Not getting delivery confirmation or not using a padded envelope would be ill-advised.

I forgot, a bubble mailer is HIGHLY recommended also.

Also, almost all of the mailer that you receive can be reused to save money, trees, etc.

All of the above is true.  Don't be afraid of Paypal shipping.  It's cheaper than most other options I've found and the included delivery confirmation will be a life saver.

And don't just go out and buy those bubble mailers from the post office either, they will run you $1.50 or so each, which is way too much. Check out the sticky in this section about paypal shipping and cheap bubble mailers; it'll save you a lot of money, depending on how much you plan on trading here.
