I agree with many others that the full package description needs some work.  I have always been troubled about requesting older games. Games like nocturne, mana khemia, ar tonelico or digital devil saga were all recently reprinted without the extras. If i requested full package in my mind I'm expecting to get all the extras stuff that use to come with it.  I know  goozex isnt for collectors.  But I'm sure some clarification for some of the older games would help.

Like many of the other comments here, I think that the FULL PACKAGE description needs an update, but that's it. There's no need for a 4th option in there, because that would be confusing and redundant. My understanding of this issue, before i read this thread, was that the peripherals HAD to be included in a full package minus any one time use things (i.e. Gears 2 maps, you can't really get those on this type of used game site, those are for the original purchaser and the chance you will get a new game with one time use DLC or something is remote). Like the time splitters gun, and the guitar hero controllers (well, those are a little simpler because they're sorted into different versions of the game here). But even collector's edition packages have to be sent will all the stuff, so that's pretty much what FULL PACKAGE already means.

Now, if someone doesn't send it with the extra stuff, then that's a cause for concern, and something you'll have to work out  with the seller, but that doesn't mean a new option is needed on the site. With a better description all of the issues should be taken care of.

As other people have mentioned, the operating costs of adding a fourth option would be too much.

I also don't think it would solve too much.  You'd still have people listing the game as a "Complete Package" and not including all the accessories.  If you asked a random person what the difference between a "Full Package" and a "Complete Package" was, they probably couldn't tell you.

Traders - especially new traders - don't bother to read trading descriptions when they list titles, especially the paragraph at the bottom saying that this game "includes the Wii Wheel" or "includes the Guncon 4" or "does not include the headset", etc.

In my opinion, there is another solution (that a few people have mentioned) which addresses the issue and will not increase operating costs, but it will require some additional manpower.  There needs to be two listings for applicable games: one that includes the peripherals/bonuses, and one that does not.  For example, in the case of Mario Kart Wii, there should be two database entries: Mario Kart Wii (w/ Wii Wheel) and Mario Kart Wii (Game Only).

Why is this a better solution than adding a fourth trading option?

When a user adds a new game to their queue, they need to search the database.  Searching for "Mario Kart Wii", in my system, will return both game entries.  If the user selects the "w/ Wii Wheel" entry when it's sitting right next to the "Game Only" entry, knowing good and well that they're not going to send the Wii Wheel, there's no question that they're at fault, and that negative feedback would be warranted.  Honestly, when you don't receive the accessory, the correct feedback to give is neutral, and not many users are threatened by neutral feedback when they get to keep all their points and the buyer requires seller confirmation when canceling a trade.

It's not a perfect system, however.  I can think of two other issues.

Users can also add games by selected a game they see in the feed on the home page.  Since there's no "instant add" option and they need to view the description page to add the game to their queue, someone would need to manually add bold links to the game's other related entries just above the list maintenance buttons.  Example:

This game listing is for Mario Kart Wii WITHOUT the Wii Wheel.  If you would like to request or offer the game WITH the Wii Wheel, click here.

The other issue I had is with users who, for example, would select the "w/ Wii Wheel" game listing and then offer the game as "Disc + Manual" because the version with the accessory would, presumably, be worth more points than the "Game Only" listing.  The solution to this would be, for games with accessories only, change the package selection text to say "Full Package", "Disc + Manual w/ Accessories", and "Disc Only w/ Accessories" respectively.

In short, there are some traders that know they're supposed to include accessories and simply don't bother because the penalty for neglecting to do so is fairly minor.  The number of this type of trader, however, is dwarfed by the traders that simply don't know better.  Adding a separate game listing for games with and without accessories, manually cross-referencing those games on the listing screen, and changing the help text makes it very difficult to miss how this portion of the system works.  Accordingly, it legitimizes negative feedback by the buyer, since games without accessories now have a listing of their own that is very difficult to miss when adding games to the queue.

I'm new to the site, but from what I've seen, it looks like most games that were sold both stand alone and with accessories, have multiple entries. I don't think Nintendo ever released Mario Kart Wii without the wheel. In which case, the only change I see that should be made, is for games that have accessories, said accessories should be listed in the title.

I believe all these issues could also be solved with a quick PM to the seller/buyer.

Whenever someone requests my ac/dc track pack, I'm gonna shoot them a message saying that the DLC code has been used.  Problem solved...

That's awesome, but considering that this thread exists in the first place, it's safe to say that many, many users are not as responsible as you in these situations.

The last week has been the craziest week for me.

I have had three (yes, three) trades in a row where I have had to leave Neutral Feedback because of this issue.

Mario Kart: Wii  -  http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p132/n-j-/for%20sale/mk1.jpg

Growlanser: Heritage of War  -  http://www.vgblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/03/aseembly_medium.jpg

Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis  -  http://i19.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/2c/45/9709_1_sbl.JPG

...All of which I received only the game and none of the extras!

I'm really hoping my next game I'm waiting for in the mail (Eternal Poison) comes with it's extra peripherals (soundtrack cd)! or else that'll be four in a row!  Talk about bad luck.  And I'm stuck listing them all as disc plus manual when I go to relist them too.  I guess this re-opens the issue of the other user only receiving -10 for neutral not being enough.

I guess some people must think "hmmm, I will take the negative -10 goozex feedback and save money on shipping and keep my wheel" (or soundtrack cd, or keychain, or whatever)!

There definitely needs to be more clarification as well as a possible partial point refund or something for not receiving full package.

What also makes me mad is that Goozex reversed the neutral (and gave positive) on the Mario Kart game because the seller agreed to send me the wheel (I didn't even get a say in the matter and they already reversed it without me even getting the wheel yet!)... but even with the wheel, that's still not full package since they're not sending the cardboard box it came in.  So now I still can't relist as full package.  Brutal.

I would if I were you.  They've (Goozex) already set the precedent that Disc + Manual + Case + Wheel and no cardboard box is full package.

I just got a copy of Need for Speed: Most Wanted - Black Edition today.  Sorta.

The game didn't include the slipcover, the manual, or the bonus disc.  Essentially, I paid double the points for a regular edition of the game.

That just isn't right.

I sure hope so, otherwise you aren't getting the whole package.  Would you like to receive a game requested as complete package, but get only the disc, manual, and case with no artwork?

I, personally, would consider it part of a full package, particularly since the cases without slipcovers are usually void of any useful information like UPCs, system requirements, etc.

The manual and bonus disc piss me off, though.  That's not a full package no matter how you look at it.

I was thinking of a slipcover like the one Bioshock has. I wouldn't really mind not receiving that. It basically just has the same artwork as the regular case. I guess if the slipcover were to have something different on it then it would matter.

That's news to me... when/where did they say that?  Doesn't seem right for it to not come with the box it came with.  I must have missed that thread (or whatever).  I always thought full package meant "everything that the game came with when you buy it new"... I think I remember a G-Team member backing that, but I could be wrong... I'll have to do some searching later.

They implied that when they closed the trade and gave the user you were trading with full positive.  Did that user not have it listed as Full Package?
