This is going to sound like an odd request.
About twenty years ago, I was reading a book about feudal Japan and came across a drawing of a wounded samurai. I liked the drawing so much that I used a lightbox to trace it.
I've since lost the tracing and have no idea which book the drawing was in. I've searched through Google images, to no avail. If anybody has every seen this drawing and can point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful. I would be willing to reward the person(s) with info leading to the actual drawing.
The drawing was of a wounded samurai, with several arrows piercing his armor. He was kneeling on the ground and was wearing full armor, including helmet. I believe his head was down, so his face wasn't shown. One hand was still on the hilt of his sword, which was driven into the ground, perhaps for support. Some of the arrows had the fletching broken off, leaving only the head and partial shaft in the samurai.
I'm not expecting miracles, but thought I would post this on the off chance somebody else has any clue what I'm talking about.

As much as I wish I could help you I can not. Good luck timpy.
Here is a guess:
No, it was less abstract/stylized than that, but thank you for the suggestion!
Well what about the book? Remember anything about that? Title, fiction(non), date it was published, stuff, stuff, stuff.
Google also has their Google Book Search thing, where they've been scaning new and old books. If you remember much of anything about the book, it could be infinitely more helpful than searching for pictures of "wounded samurai".

Question for you timpy - was the book a relatively new release back in the old days, or was it older than?

I'm not sure, but I think it was probably older than that. I thought maybe it was The Book of Five Rings, but there are numerous versions of that, all with different illustrations.
