Hi all.

My parents bought a Wii for my sister for Christmas, and I thought I might buy them a game they might like as well.  They are certainly not gamers, so I'm trying to think of a game to get them.  Wii Sports obviously comes with, and they also picked up Wii Play.

I was thinking Mario Party maybe...but wondered if that's too much for them or not.

Any suggestions?

The rock music stuff will depend on (a) others playing with them and (b) them liking the songs.

Wii Play and Wii Sports will occupy non-gamers for quite a while.  Cooking Mama is fun, and I would also recommend Mario Kart with the wheel.  If they are non-gamers, stay away from the violence.

The one that has surprised me is my wife with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.  She hates violence, but lives in such a Star Wars - soaked house she loves wiping out everyone with her saber.

Well, if it's not too late to chime in, Lego Star Wars is a great and simple game.  If they are not into Star Wars, there's always Indianna Jones and Batman along the lego lines as well.  WarioWare Smooth Moves is pretty fun/mindless and caters to short attention spans.  Smarty Pants has a nice trivia game show feel to it and Big Brain Academy focuses on observation and logic (and not necessarily knowing facts like Smarty Pants).

Dr. Mario, Tetris Party, Wii Fit and more.A lot of the Wii Ware G=games. I'm not sure how much they would like the RRR humor.

Big Brain Academy is a lot of fun and it's the only game I was able to get my wife to play for more than 5 minutes.

My dad is a fan of golf, so I got him Tiger Woods 2009 All-play. It's actually really addicting.

We ski is a really fun and relaxing game, and it's only 30 dollars. I've been playing it like mad until my wii crapped out last night.
