I found out many games have too many supply but little request. That shows current point system has a flaw.
eg. Motor Storm for PS3 (450 points) has 178 active supply and 4 request. That means point is too high for this game. However, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift for PS3 (1000 points) has 125 request but no supply. That means point is too low for this game.
Why not introduce bonus point concept? Low the point for low request game but offer bonus point for people who request it. Meanwhile, offer the bonus point for people who supply the hottest game.Bonus point can be a float figure which changes depends on market condition.

You sir are flawed
They raised the point cap to 1200 in the spring and there was quite the backlash, so about a day later they lowered it back to 1000 points.
The system doesn't need bonuses or give certain members preferential treatment.

Also, I'm not sure you understand how the system works - when games are too high or too low, the system does balance itself out - it just isn't immediate. It will go in increments of fifty points (sometimes more) a week.
Edit: There are some exceptions and some games have wonky prices and never adjust - but that is what this thread is for.

maybe 1200 is too high but i dont see why there cant be 1100, new games often get $55 used. also as far as bonus points why not let users offer to pay 50/100 more or sell for 50/100 less then the list price. this would correct prices by letting the market decide.
next time you think of a great idea; search the forums

That I don't know, because you're right - for brand new games, the asking price is always $55 for used. This isn't something I mind however - and there are always tips.

The beauty of the Goozex market vs. real life is that everyone here is equal. The system would be in shambles if users with high bankrolls were essentially given more privileges.

Works fine for me. xD

True, but that has a chance of being changed, whereas this persons suggestion... doesn't.
Well, looking at the game you mentioned, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, there are tons of people who want it and none who have it, really (maybe 1 on hold). If the value was increased to 1200 or 1100, I don't think even that would make people rush out and buy a ton of copies to trade here. The problem isn't that the 1000 point mark is too low, it's that tons of people just didn't buy that game, or if they did, they are not putting it up for trade. This happens every now and then. You just have to wait for a while, then when there's a sale or something on that game, more people will show up with it on hold, and trades can commence.I know, I'm also waiting for that game, but it does not look like it's coming any time soon.
But raising the point values is not the right course of action. I won't even go into the technical aspects of raising all of the "popular" or new games to 1200 (and who decides what's popular and should be raised?); but I think it would just make people more suspicious and worried about trading here.
