I just had a trader cancel a trade with me four days after he accepted the trade offer. I thought I had to ok it for the cancellation to go through, but cancellation was a done deal and my points refunded, what gives?

Is this new? Because the FAQ on the page says I have to accept the request to cancel first. Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm pretty sure that both traders only have to agree if it's the buyer requesting cancellation (since the game could have already been shipped). I found out the game I accepted to trade was lost and had to cancel and it went through immediately.

correct...awhile ago...cancellation can only occur when both seller and buyer agree to cancel. but recently...goozex updated the procees which now allows sellers to be able to make a one sided cancellation.

Well that sucks. I'm surprised there's not more repercussions to canceling trades. The seller has only traded 15 times and already has 5 cancellations. His reason was he didn't feel like trading it for the current point value - lame.

I'm not a fan of that change either. Someone pulled that on me with Fallout 3, tying my request up for days.

The one penalty for sellers in this case is that they go to the back of queue, so unless it's a game that nobody else is offering they're not going to be able to sell it again right away.
