OK, so among my offers currently is a Game Boy Advance game. I got it as part of the deal when I bought my DS used. It didn't come with the instructions or anything, so of course, it's being offered as "disc only." There are a handful of us who have the game all ready to trade, all "disc only." On the requests end of the spectrum, there are an even larger number of people who want the game and are ready to trade, but they all want "full package."
I have to admit I'm a little confused. I understand wanting the full package when you have games that come in a nice, durable plastic case that helps you keep track of the tiny little things. But GBA games just came in carboard boxes, right? So what's the benefit to holding out for the full package, especially when you could have them game right now if you were just willing to settle for something less? (I can somewhat understand wanting to get the manual, but with the amount of guides and FAQs for games available on the internet today, combined with the fact that many games make a point of teaching you how to play within the game even if you threw the manual away, it's not that much of a necessity for every game.)
What do you think? Is there some difference between GBA "Full Package" and "Disc + Manual" that I'm missing, something that would make people decide to stick with Full Package rather than get the game right now?
Some people just like to have complete copies of games, myself included, it's mainly just from a collectors standpoint.
For GBA games i could care less becuase i always ripped open th carboard.

PSP and the other ones like xbox an playstation i care about just becuase it looks nice
I wouldn't have a problem with just the cartridge, though I do like having the cardboard cases, just as proof that I still have them XD
For me it depends on the points. GBAgames I only care about disk & manual, but if I were paying 'collector's prices', ~>500, I'd want full package.

OK, I can dig it. I guess I'm just a little suprised both than a lot of people want a cardboard box for their GBA games and that enough people have kept their cardboard boxes around to make it a viable option. For DS games and games for other more recent systems, I can definitely see the appeal of getting the Full Package, as you get a nice sturdy box to keep your game safe and keep from using it. I guess cardboard boxes could serve the same purpose, but they're not really made to last and like I said, I figured most people would have tossed them when they got the game.
