I sent out a game on Nov 19th with 3 day first class and DC, and the last update I have received online was that it was processed at the Albany branch(which is 20 minutes from the branch I sent it from) on Nov 19th. Judging by all my past experiences, the game should be at it's destination today, but usps.com says it hasn't even left a local branch. I've gotten daily updates on all the things I've sent in the past, and the fact that I haven't gotten any on this one worries me. It's a 1000 point game, and I don't want the neg either.
I sent an email to USPS about, so hopefully they can tell me the systems are just down or something. Maybe I should start getting insurance from now on.
Most of the time, the tracking for USPS things are useless. They can give you a good idea where the item might be, but the truth is, I only get DC so I can tell where the package is.
Check the number again tonight. Technically the package should be delivered today or Monday at the latest. So if it hasn't been updated to "DELIVERED", it will surely be there tomorrow.
I hope your right. It would suck to lose a 1000 point game.
Does anybody here recommend getting insurance for losses? Does it happen frequently enough to make it worth it?
It'll eventaully show that the game was delivered. Sometimes USPS.com takes its sweet time updating, but as long as it shows that the game was proccessed you have nothing to worry about.

As yo can see from my trading history, I have sent out a good share of games all with DC and no lost packages yet. It is up to the Post Office to scan the DC. I had a few games that I shipped out not be updated from my post office untill it got to the other users post office. So it can happen from time to time.
Ok. Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I just thought it was wierd because I've always gotten daily updates. But yeah, as long as it gets there I'm cool with it.
Sometimes you get updates, usually you don't. I've had over half the things I've sent say processed for a week until they say delivered. It makes sense though, because it's not a tracking number, it's just to confirm delivery.
Basically what these other guys have said, you don't always get every update with the packages. All that the PO really needs to put in there is the Arrival scan and the Delivered scan.
I recently sent out a package that was never mark delivered. There was an intermediate step where USPS scanned it, but it will forever be in "processing" since the guy said he got it a week ago.
