I hate that idea, but I think it'd be cool if we could trade books and DVD's to.

- Magazine Subscriptions

They were offering (and possibly still are) a subscription to EGM, but I wouldn't trust that Canadian hating Ziff Davis.

Thats an awful idea.

How so?  The G-team has even said they are (or at least were) looking to expand the ability to use Goozex points beyond trading for games.

I didn't no that. Thanks for telling me.

oh you probably like the idea as soon as you find Goozex has supported it. I loathe member like you, always trying to any kind of way put down the new people on Goozex using the forum.

edit: I like the idea, it would be good if there was things you could spend your leftover points on, games or anything. Especially those who want to use their points up for the last time.

Oh, just thought I'd mention you spelt Goozex wrong. The "X" isn't capitalized

It's a great idea.

You spelled "no" (know) wrong, forgot the apostrophe in "Thats" (That's), and forgot your period after "capitalized".

In my opinion, the original spelling mistakes did not warrant the corrections by everyone that happens to look at this topic, so please stop.

I agree with the original poster and a few others that being able to get Goozex gear for points would be awesome.  I know that I would most likely pick up a shirt and maybe a couple other things.  This might even be cheap advertising for Goozex if members wear shirts around in public.

I'd like to be able to buy the Mustang in cody's avatar pic with my points, but I'm pretty sure I'd need more.

I think buying Goozex gear with points would be a win/win situation for Goozex. People would be buying the merchandise and spreading the word (as cody mentioned) plus with people using points for things other than trades, it could create more revenue for the company with people buying more points and not just trade credits.

Google "Swap Tree".

It absolutely sucks for game trading because most books, CDs, and movies are a fraction of the cost of a game.  But for books and movies, it should suit your needs.

I think trading books would become way too much of a headache for the Goozex team, but CDs and DVDs would be a good idea.

For the record, besides ordering EGM with Goozex points you could also choose PC Magazine.

Other things I use my Goozex points for - tipping.

I'm all for your suggestions, especially for Microsoft points

TomoyoN:
Then why did you post in this topic about a suggestion with alternative uses of points when you don't use/have/intend to have any points...

It just didn't seem like a good idea at the time. I'm about to get a Visa gift card so I can buy points and trade credits. Plus it is a VIDEO GAME trading web site not Video Game magazine web site. I just didn't see that happening on Goozex. The only ones that were a good ideas were the Goozex merchandice and the microsoft/PSN points/ Wii points.

Did I say I supported the idea. No. I was just saying that I was welcome for the information that he had given me. And I do my best to help new users. Did I try to put him down. I don't, in my opinion, think I put him down I was just telling him what I thought. So I would keep my mouth shut. You little........ I'm not even going to say it. Just don't assume I'm a big bully to new users. I'm new in a sense that I've only recived one game and traded none so far, but I'am waiting to get some money so I can get points and trade credits.
