Favorite game of all time? That's very different than best game of all time, so I can answer easily.
Super Mario World. It's a game I can play at any time, from any point, for as long as I might want.

Barbie Horse Adventures.
CoffinDancer: Drognar: Star Ocean 2 is my favorite game. I'm a huge fan of RPGs. The SO series is not as well known as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Tales. Though it takes a highly innovative approach to RPGs by providing a part real-time battle, system and cool skill system which lets you customize your characters. I haven't played SO3 because I never got a PS2. I can't for spring 09 because it will be remade then. Star Ocean 2 was one of my favorites too. As to my favorite game of all time... There's been too many to name just 1 (Zelda:OoT, Metal Gear Solid, Shadow of the Colossus, Sonic 2, Mrs. Pac-Man, Gears of War, Resident Evil 4)

The difference for me would be all my top games after SO2 would be rpgs, some are JPRGs for snes that no-ones ever heard of lol.
Coras:Barbie Horse Adventures.
Actually should be 'Unfabulous' ... that was one of those 'take it for the team' reviews, not a terrible game, but not one I've been able to get rid of here in over two years ...

Planescape: Torment. One odd Quest or situation after another, really compelling game.
Favorite game of all time is pretty hard to decide, but if I had to choose I'd choose Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It was the first Legend of Zelda game I ever played, and probably the only game I remember playing about half a dozen times over and over.
I should either get this game on the virtual console for the wii or get the LoZ: Collector's Edition for the GC, since I never bother to dust off my N64 since it's all boxed up and such a hastle to take out (taking into consideration that I have 2 consoles out that I'm trying to play catch-up with games).
I would have to say FF7/Fable(so looking forward to fable 2 still havn't gotten it)/and Counter Strike source(very addicting and always enjoy playing it)...all of these are a tie on my list of fav games.
Bloodsho: I would have to say FF7 and Counter Strike source(very addicting and always enjoy playing it)...all of these are a tie on my list of fav games.le

Fixed.

Save your money/points/time in trying to track down the Collector's Edition for GC. The emulation for Majora's Mask on it makes it nigh unplayable (due to the original game's requirement for the N64 memory expansion pack supposedly). I would hold out that they manage to get a VC version that is on par with the original (like I've been doing for almost two years).

I also had not heard good things about the MM on the Collector's Edition, though I heard good things about OoT, which kind of makes me want to get it (kind of). Maybe I will just wait to see when it pops up on the VC. I think I can even request VC games on here too, right?
Edit: Just found out that there's a game for GC that's solely the OoT master quest, which I guess makes Collector's Edition that much more indersirable.
kevlar51:I've only played Majora's Mask on the Collector's Edition. I really enjoyed it, but have no basis of comparison.
i thought it played just fine

I-Weapon-X: i thought it played just fine
Well, as it was one of my favorite N64 games I played A LOT, the discrepancies in the sound really bugged me on the Collector's Edition. Now that the other three games are on the VC and better emulated, there's just waiting for Majora to break and make the Collector's Edition just that. A collector's item.
The Ocarina of Time Master Quest disc is interesting. I have no problems with the emulation on that (in fact I think the game runs at a slightly higher resolution through the GC) and it makes Ocarina a bit longer in the tooth with different dungeons. If all you want is Ocarina it's worth it.
