Is it because I'm a newer user that people consistently let the "Match!" time out? As much as I love Goozex thus far, this is the only thing that seems weird to me.

Both Forza 2 and Skate - titles that have ample supply available for trade - have matches that have timed out. Currently, I have two timeouts on Forza 2 and one on Skate, with another Skate timeout due in 3 hours.

I hope it's not because I'm a newer user, especially considering the fact that I've been active in both the forums and with my offers. I've sent off four titles so far, with a fifth going out when I wake up tomorrow morning. I've got two +10 positive feedback for my first two trades, with more feedback due soon.

I even go the extra mile and send a polite message to the users that I've been matched with, informing them that they should fill out a customs declaration form. (Don't worry, the form is free and just requires sending/receiving addresses and item value.)

Now, I won't deny that I have two trades that have been accepted. Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 was matched, and Heavenly Sword was both matched and mailed so far.

So is it possible that people aren't accepting trades with me because I don't have much experience with the site so far? If so, that's a  really hardcore way of welcoming me to Goozex.

Disclaimer: I understand that users aren't in a hurry to trade with someone that may not leave feedback points fast enough, especially if you've got a lot to offer the site and have limited trade slots. It just hurts that I'm one of the new users that has yet to 'prove himself' so to speak, to get some of the trades I'm looking for.

I'm seriously looking forward to playing Skate, but until someone ships the game, it's not of much use to me. Weird situation to be in - understanding the stand-offishness of older members, but also understanding the frustration of those trying to build a reputation.

Okay, end rant. Just had to get that off of my chest.

I really doubt that its because of your experience.  You already have some trades under your belt and some positive feedback.

Usually people let trades time out when its a zero trades in/out user because they don't want to wait for the system to close the trade or they don't want to deal with new users.

Just be patient.  I've had 3 trades time out for the same game once.

I really doubt someone is willing to give up their place in line just because they are matched with you.

People don't always check their email so some trades will time out. It happens to all of us.

towely is correct; at the moment my request for dead space (actually with a reputable user) is about to time out

I have email OCD on the other hand; ive checked it 30 times in the past minute

Thanks a lot for the responses, everyone!

After logging off for the night and getting some sleep, I came back to another user accepting the trade for Skate.

I can understand not checking you remail everyday, but since I have a website and check my email every couple hours, it's hard to imagine everyone else not doing the same, haha.
