I'm about to finish the watchmen.

I've seen the movie trailer about 5 times and have (had) NO idea what the heck was going on.  Everybody's talking like the book is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  I figured I'd check it out.

It's pretty good.  I doubt it's spending-nine-bucks-at-the-theater-good, but it's good.

On a non comic related book,  i just finished Ender's Game,   and my gd,  what an amazing book.  This one actually made me light headed, I'm not kidding.

ender's game is one of the best books i've ever read.

i'm a big ol' fantasy nerd. i'm reading the drizzt series right now. awesome series. watchmen's next.

Have to agree with the Ender assessment, though I enjoy the Ender's Shadow series more, personally. I need to read Speaker for the Dead and the subsequent books again now, I think I'd have a better appreciation for them now.

Oh, yeah, speaking of Drizzt, our favorite Drow Elf, still reading The Icewind Dale Trilogy. Almost done with The Crystal Shard.

Heh.. both of those are on my shelf, waiting to be read.

I'm currently reading Warcraft: War of the Ancients, Book 1: The Well of Eternity.

I've been reading it for about a year now, off and on. I keep putting it down to read other books and then eventually come back to it. At this rate, I should finish it by 2021.

I'll read anything by R.A. Salvatore.  I love his work!

I like his stuff, but have found it very uneven in terms of writing quality ... I guess that comes with the sheer quantity of what he puts out.

Just started Fables a few weeks ago. 've burned through Vol 1-5 softcover collections already.  Absolutely loving this.

All Star Superman - didnt think I would like it but WOW is it good.

Fables is in the top 3 comic series of the last decade easily, IMO. Great stuff.

Right now I'm reading some lesser known Alan Moore stuff like Promethea, along with film books.

I have Promethea on my "to buy" list.    My only real complaint w/ fables is the same complaint I have w/ a lot of series like Sandman.  The artists switch too often and the art usually starts out great but as the series goes on it can get a lil "cheap".

I just started Volume 5:Mean Seasons of fables and while the stories are still going strong, I was a bit shocked by the artist they have, especially the WWII story, the fight scenes makes The Batman/Bane artwork look detailed.
